Fixed Excel tables splitting into an empty table and plain text when pasted into Obsidian. Korean text, emoji, in-cell line breaks, and the original HTML table are preserved.

Improvements for moving Excel tables into documents and AI conversations. • Copy the selected Excel range with Copy Markdown, Copy as XML, or Copy as XML with Formulas. • Fixed changes to special characters, leading/trailing/repeated spaces, and in-cell line breaks when tables are copied and pasted again. • Formula XML includes current values, formulas, and reference information while consolidating repeated references. • Reduced reading time for large formula ranges. Copying new content during an export cancels the export and preserves the new clipboard contents. Markdown has limits for colors, fonts, and merged-cell appearance. Use XML copying to share the structure of complex tables.

Get more out of your AI. Tabledown organizes Excel and Google Sheets tables into formats that are easy to share with AI. Copied tables are automatically converted to Markdown. In Excel, you can also use a menu option to copy table or formula information as XML. • Bring spreadsheet tables into notes and documents Copy and paste as usual. Your tables are neatly organized in Obsidian or Markdown documents. • Take tables from your notes back to Excel Paste a Markdown table into separate Excel cells and continue editing or calculating, with less retyping cell by cell. • Make complex tables easier for AI to understand Select a range in Excel and choose a menu option to include headings, grouped items, and the numbers as displayed. Paste into your preferred AI and ask questions. You can also share formulas and the values used in calculations. • Keep your usual workflow Leave Tabledown in the menu bar and use familiar copy and paste. Everyday table conversion happens automatically; choose a menu option when you need extra information. This version adds a more compact way to prepare tables with formulas for AI and fixes garbled Korean text when pasting Markdown tables into Apple Notes.

Auto-fill blank cells now works for Markdown too • Tables with merged headers used to leave blanks when pasted as Markdown. Now those blanks are filled so the table lines up. - Vertically merged groups (e.g. “Manager”) fill down; horizontally merged group headers (e.g. “Q1”) fill across. - Blanks in data (value) cells are preserved. • A single “Auto-fill blank cells” setting now controls both XML and Markdown conversion. (Off by default — turn it on to apply.) Still completely free, still zero permissions.
