more Added exercise: Incline Dumbbell Press, requested by one of our users. It also comes up if you search for "Dumbbell Incline Press" or "Incline DB Press".
One message is all it takes for an exercise to make it into the app. Hearing what you actually train is the best part of building GymGrid — thank you, and please keep the requests coming.
2.6.5 Oct 4
Fixed: Since 2.6.0, saving a workout or PR image to your photo library failed every time — you would allow photo access and then get an error. An update to one of the libraries the app is built on changed how saving works, and I missed it. The fix in 2.6.3 addressed a different cause, so this one was still there. Saving works again now. The Share button was never affected.
2.6.4 Sep 22
Bug fixes:
• Exporting your data as JSON failed on the second export of the same day. The backup file written the first time was still there and blocked every later export until the date changed. It now overwrites cleanly, so you can export as often as you like.
• Saving a workout image to your photo library could end with an error. It happened right after the photo access dialog, and on days with enough exercises to make the card much taller than the screen. Both are handled now.
Both of these came from a review on the App Store. Bugs that never surface on my own device are the hardest to find, and a report is the only way I get to see them — thank you, and please keep them coming.
2.6.3 Sep 16
Added exercise: Bayesian Curl, requested by one of our users. It also comes up if you search for "Bayesian".

2.6.2 Sep 15
• Improved: Best reps now show at every weight
The hint used to stay quiet below 70% of your one-rep max, but a lighter set still has a number worth beating. Now it appears whenever you have lifted that exact weight before.
• New setting: Show Best Reps at the Weight
The hint is on by default, and can be turned off in Settings if you would rather not see it while logging.
2.6.1 Sep 10
• New: Your best reps at the weight you enter
Type a working weight while logging and the most reps you have ever hit at that exact weight appears just above the input, so the set has a number to beat. Warm-up loads stay quiet — the hint only shows at 70% of your one-rep max or above (measured, or estimated from your logged sets). Assisted and negative sets are left out, so the number always reflects clean work.
• Added exercise: Smith Machine Incline Bench Press
2.6.0 Sep 9
Improved: The exercise edit screen now shows a subtle exercise icon next to the name, so you can tell at a glance which exercise you are editing.
2.5.1 Aug 26
New: Assisted and Negative sets. Turn it on in Settings, then use the Assisted / Negative checkboxes while logging to mark what a set actually was. Marked sets appear nested under the set before them — assisted reps logged after set 3 become 3-1 — so your main working sets stay easy to read on the grid and in the shared image.
2.5.0 Aug 23
The button to save your day's records as an image now appears whenever you have at least one record for that day — you no longer need to complete every scheduled exercise first.
2.4.2 Jun 29
This update adds 3 exercises requested by one of our users:
• Backpack Row
• Reverse Lunge
• Pike Push-up
Honestly, hearing "could you add these exercises?" makes my day as a developer. A request like this only happens because you're actually using GymGrid in your daily training — and that means the world to me. I added each one with care, and I'll keep growing the app by listening to you. Thank you!
2.4.1 Jun 25
New: Checklists. Turn it on in Settings, then build a per-exercise checklist in the exercise editor. Items can appear when you start recording, after your first set, or after every set, and your results are saved to that day or set so you can review them later on the record screen.

• Fixed: Grid cells with multi-digit weight × reps now stay on one line via auto-shrink.
