• Three free credits on day one instead of two — one more room to try before you decide anything. • Photos your iPhone saves in its space-saving format now work everywhere. A few of them used to fail with an error that explained nothing. • Cancelling a purchase no longer tells you it failed. You changed your mind; that is not an error.

• Add furniture, from a catalogue. The "+" now opens a catalogue of sofas, chairs, tables, beds, lamps, rugs, plants, storage and decor instead of your camera roll. Every piece carries its real size in centimetres, along with its material and colour, so it arrives in your room at the right scale — a three-seat sofa no longer lands as a loveseat. • Your own pieces belong there too. Photograph something you already own, we cut it out of its background, and it joins your catalogue for every design after that. • Four pieces in a single design, up from two.

• Free plan credits have changed: 2 on day one, then one a day back up to 2. The plan screens and FAQ now show the new numbers.

• Fixed a connection fault in 1.4.7 that left the app unable to reach our servers. That one was on us — sorry for the interruption. • No photo to hand? Start from one of our sample rooms and see a real redesign before you take a single shot.
