Fair scores for your duel: “Who among us?” now compares the same person from both players’ perspectives. In Rapid Fire, computer opponents receive consistent scores during the round and in the final results. Maze results are submitted more reliably. Final results and revealed answers are clearer, and you can dismiss the duel chat keyboard. A store update is offered only when a newer version is available.

New in duels with friends: chat in the lobby and after every round – your messages pop up as speech bubbles above your characters, who now feel more alive. The host starts once you're both ready. Stepping back and rejoining with the same code now works reliably, and if you're on different app versions, the lobby tells you who needs an update.

Invitations are more reliable: new games get a fresh link, and you can rejoin a game already in progress. You can now see whether your invitation is confirmed or still pending. Errors that arrive later are also shown.

A brand-new stage: every game now plays out in front of its own backdrop, with two characters reacting to every moment – from victory fists to a shrug. In the maze, every correct answer earns gold you can see. The next question only appears once you’ve both tapped “Next”. New: the “All games” package. Online duels start more reliably thanks to better invite links, rematches and joining by code, and text now fits small screens better.

Fixed duplicate success sounds. Your answer feedback now plays once, while opponents’ actions keep their own sound effects.

Animations, colors and sounds now make it clearer whether your answer was right or wrong. The trapdoor only affects the losing player, and dizzy stars circle the affected avatar’s head.

Fixed a crash that could occur when signing in after a game.

Pasting invitations is more reliable. Online duels now resume correctly after brief connection drops.

The season at a glance: • Your season standing is now on the home screen: your rank, the places gained or lost since yesterday, and the points to the next place. Not listed yet? You see where your points would put you. • The leaderboard now names last month’s winner at the top: the solo champion in one tab, the champion duo in the other. • After some duels, the app opens the season standings and asks whether to count your points. Change your answer any time in your profile.

Steadier online duels: • If the host drops out and comes back, their lobby opens again and the invite link they sent stays valid. • If your partner loses connection mid-game, the match now ends cleanly after a short wait instead of hanging. • iPad: sharing an invite and sorting in the ranking round work smoothly again.

A smoother duel all round: • Online games start more reliably: connection problems are spotted earlier and explained in plain language. • An expired invite link now offers a second try instead of a dead end. • Plenty of small improvements under the hood.
