loudness CORRECT measures, corrects and verifies your audio to any
broadcast or streaming loudness spec — fully offline, on iPad and iPhone.
Pick a file, pick a preset, correct. The two-pass pipeline measures
the source to ITU-R BS.1770-4, plans the gain move, writes a new file
and re-verifies the result — so what leaves the app is provably on
target, not just close.
WHY IT'S DIFFERENT
• Verified output: auto-verify and refine until the residual error is
under 0.1 LU. No guessing, no manual re-check.
• Transparent loudness range control: a continuous 3-band reshape
(Linkwitz-Riley) works toward the programme level — it tightens loud
passages and lifts quiet ones with no threshold and no pumping.
• True-peak safe: 4× oversampled inter-sample peak limiter with 5 ms
look-ahead keeps you under the ceiling on every platform.

MEASUREMENT
True-peak measurement now follows the coefficients in
ITU-R BS.1770-4 Annex 2 exactly. Earlier versions read low on
high-frequency material, by up to 2 dB in the worst case; on
speech and most music mixes the difference was in tenths. If you
normalised close to a true-peak ceiling with an earlier version,
it is worth re-checking those files.
The corrected file is now sample-aligned with the source and the
same length. It used to sit up to 15 ms late.
Loudness Range follows EBU Tech 3342 more closely.
EBU R128 s1 now limits Maximum Short-term Loudness to -18 LUFS
as the standard defines, instead of capping Loudness Range,
which the standard explicitly excludes.
HANDLING
Results are no longer overwritten; they are numbered. Large
files no longer freeze the interface while importing. The
finished file can be shared straight from the app.
