Pocketmast: Off-Grid Mesh Chat

Off-grid messages, no signal

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

When there's no signal, your group keeps talking. Off-grid mesh chat over local Wi-Fi — iPhone & Apple Watch, no network, no SIM, no internet needed. Pocketmast is a standalone off-grid messenger for iPhone and Apple Watch. Two devices on the same Wi-Fi tune into a 4-digit channel code and chat in real time — no internet, no servers, no accounts, no Bluetooth pairing needed. iPhone-to-iPhone mesh works the moment you walk into a campsite, festival, conference hall, basement, or off-grid cabin where cellular signal is weak. Each device acts as both transmitter and receiver. Messages hop peer-to-peer over Bonjour / Network.framework — pure local network, zero outbound connections. With full Apple Watch support, you can read, send, and join channels right from your wrist. PREMIUM Pocketmast Premium is a single $2.99 non-consumable. It unlocks all 8 channels, unlimited node history, 30-day message retention, GPX export, and the three premium mission templates. One-time purchase — no subscription.
