Honey Bun is the app I wished I had at 3 a.m. — Ryan
Honey Bun is not a medical device and not a substitute for professional medical advice. For health concerns, always consult your pediatrician.
more This baby tracker is everything a parent could want. It provides an easy history of care, monitors baby’s growth, medical records, milestones, pictures, chat, etc. I wish Honeybun was available for my parents to use.

Caring for more than one baby, or more than one family, is easier than ever.
- Add a caretaker by finding them: search for the parent by name or email and send a request. No codes, no QR. One People screen shows your requests and everyone on each baby's team.
- One Chat inbox: every family you help with in one list. Open any family's chat without leaving the baby you're logging for.
- Your babies at a glance: a strip at the top of Log shows each baby's last feed, next feed and last diaper. Tap a baby to switch. Babies are grouped by family.
- Entry sheets name the baby you're logging for. Logging a bottle, diaper, bath or play for siblings? Tick "Also for" and save it for both at once.
- Parents see a "Today with" card for each caretaker who logged today: feeds, diapers and sleep in one place. Filter Log by who logged it. Caretakers can send their day to the family chat with one tap.
- Logged a baby on your own before joining the family? The app spots the copy and moves your logs to the family's baby.
- Adding a baby asks for the birthday and gender up front. Archived babies can be brought back, or deleted for good.
- Notifications open the right baby, and the app opens on the baby you logged to last. If a family removes you, the app tells you and moves you to your other babies.
- Plus faster launches, tap outside a text field to put the keyboard away, and a handful of fixes.
2.5.0 7h ago
Your baby's history is yours to keep.
- Export data: a new row in Settings turns everything you have logged for your baby into one spreadsheet file. Feeds, diapers, sleep, medicine, weights, baths, play, Milestones and doctor's notes, by everyone who helps.
- Pick how far back to go: the last 7 days, the last 30 days, or everything.
- Send the file wherever you like: save it to Files, AirDrop it, or email it to your pediatrician. It opens in Excel, Numbers and Google Sheets.
- Nothing leaves your phone until you choose where the file goes.
- Sleep timer: after you start it and set an earlier start time, tap Done. The timer keeps running from the new time.
- Rewards: the tab now shows a number for what is waiting, your gift and any rewards to claim, and each one is marked on the screen. Your streak calendar now lives on the Rewards screen too.
1.6.5 2d ago
A big one for photos, milestones and the family chat, plus a tidier Collection.
- Baby Book: the Story has a new name. Tap + to add photos straight from your library, and turn any of them into a Milestone as you go.
- Milestones can hold up to 10 photos. Pick several at once and save them as one Milestone.
- Save a Milestone from the chat: hold any photo, or switch on "Send as Milestone" when you send one.
- The family chat stays open. Come back to the Chat tab and you are right where you left off.
- Hold a message for quick reactions and a tidy menu, with Copy.
- Sleep is calmer: the timer starts when you tap Start, naps are quicker to log by hand, and finishing an overnight sleep in the morning counts for today and keeps your streak.
- Your Collection is now one page. Every set has its own section, and a chip at the top jumps straight to that set.
- Larger text works properly everywhere, and words are never split in two.
- Rate Honey Bun: a new row in Settings. A rating helps other tired parents find it.
Behind the scenes:
- Honey Bun can now tell when an ad brought a new family to the app, so we know which ads are worth running.
- You may be asked whether to allow tracking. Either answer is fine, and Honey Bun works the same both ways.
- What you log about your baby is not part of it: feeds, sleep, diapers, notes and photos are never sent to an ad company.
1.6.4 4d ago
A little gift, every day.
- Daily gift: open one box a day for honey drops, a sticker, or now and then something rare, like a shiny. When your gift is ready it waits at the top of Rewards, and a dot on the Rewards tab lets you know.
- Daily deal: one item in The Shop is 20% off each day, picked just for you.
- A new Gift Box set to collect, found only in daily gifts.
- Music now fades out the moment you leave the app and picks up again when you come back, including after a call.
- The cards on your Log no longer flash in while the app starts. If you closed one, it stays closed.
- Family chat reads like a conversation: a sender's messages stack under one photo, and bubbles have tails.
- Your Premium: tap Honey Bun Premium in Settings to see what is free and what Premium adds, and to change or cancel your plan.
- Your profile photo now shows in Settings and on your sharing code, and the Family sheet opens full height.
1.6.2 Oct 9
Your baby's Story arrives, Milestones get a home, and Honey Bun learns to sing.
- The Story: one timeline from the day your baby was born, with your photos, Milestones and the little facts in between, like weigh-ins and longer nights. Slide the ruler to jump to any age, and compare then and now.
- Growth is now the second tab, and the Story opens it, with your baby's newest photos on the cover.
- Milestones: find every first on the Growth tab, with photos and how old your baby was that day. Add one in a tap and share a keepsake picture with family.
- Sound: soft wooden taps, a warm chime when you save a log, and honey drops when you claim a reward. Turn on a cozy soundtrack too, and set each volume in Settings. Everything follows your silent switch and stays quiet at night and while your baby sleeps.
- A calmer Rewards tab: the Honey Trail and season each fit on one line, with the next prizes in view and Premium prizes marked.
- The Shop is redesigned so you see far more at a glance, and the season now ends at a Finish stop with prizes that grow toward the end.
- Your Collection counts every item you see. Tap the bee on any tab to open it.
- Your sharing code is now one tap away under Caregivers & requests.
- Ask Honey Bun's bee now wears a stethoscope.
- Sitters no longer get missed-feed and end-of-day reminders unless they turn them on.
- Reminders now name your baby and use the feeding windows you set.
- Coming from another baby tracker? Settings now has Import from another app.
- Your Lock Screen banner is easier to find, under Settings, Lock Screen & feel.
1.6.1 Oct 8
Rewards, rebuilt: walk the Honey Trail, fill your Collection and meet the first season, Autumn Hive (through Nov 29).
- The Honey Trail: your streak is now a track of stops, with prizes along the way.
- Your Collection: tap the bee on Log to see everything you've found, numbered.
- Royal Jelly, Legendary bees, shinies and whole-app themes.
- Family chat is free for everyone, photos and videos included.
- Log a feed from the Lock Screen, widgets or Apple Watch.
- Bring your history from another baby tracker (Settings › Import).
- Larger text, all the way to the biggest accessibility sizes.
- Milestones with photos, visit prep with milestones, and message your pediatrician in MyChart.
1.6.0 Oct 5
Rewards got a lot more rewarding, and every screen got a fresh, cleaner look.
- Rewards, rebuilt: the care you already log earns honey, stamps, stickers and the odd surprise. Tap the jar to collect them.
- Unlockables: quests that unlock bee outfits, app icons, sparkly flourishes and more. Every one tells you exactly what it takes.
- The Shop: spend your honey on new looks for your honeycomb, streak flame, save splash and app icon. Keep an eye out for rare and shiny finds.
- Home is now Log, with day-by-day cards that are easier to scan.
- Moments are now Milestones.
- One clean bar across the app, with Family and Settings always a tap away. Switch babies right from the Family button.
- Timers moved into the + menu.
1.5.0 Oct 2
Help is one tap away, and Home got tidier.
- New Help & feedback: ask a question and get an answer right away, or share a bug or an idea with a screenshot you can draw on. Anything that needs a person goes straight to Ryan, who makes Honey Bun, and his reply lands in your inbox with a notification. Done with a conversation? Swipe it away.
- Something looks off? Shake your phone to report it, with a screenshot of exactly where you were. You always see what gets sent before you send it.
- Home stays neat: close a card and it shrinks to a small chip beside your streak, one tap to bring it back.
- Doctor's notes from MyChart now show up on the Growth tab, right next to the measurements they go with.
- Settings is now a short, simple list of pages, and chats and My Code use the familiar back button.
1.4.0 Sep 30
Meet the Growth tab, and bring your pediatrician along.
Growth is a portrait of your baby right now: weight, length and head size with percentiles on the WHO curves, how nights and feeds are going, and the next well visit.
Connect your pediatrician's MyChart once and Honey Bun brings in the measurements, shots, allergies, medications and visit notes, read-only and for parents only. Everything from the chart is marked as coming from your pediatrician.
Your pediatrician gets a home at the top of Growth: their photo, practice and address, with Call, Directions and Website one tap away. Right after you connect, Honey Bun reads the chart back to you and finds the doctor's office near you.
A health passport shows every vaccine by visit and what's due next. Visit prep gathers the numbers a well visit runs on and your questions for the doctor, and makes a one-page summary to share in the exam room.
Numbers that only count what you logged. Missed a night or a whole day? Feeding and sleep average just the days you logged and say so, instead of guessing. Bottles in mL count toward your ounces, and medicine doses show exactly as given.
Widgets and your watch start each day fresh at midnight, plus small fixes throughout.
1.3.0 Sep 27
Meet Ask Honey Bun: answers about your baby, any time of night.
- Ask anything, from "is cluster feeding normal?" to "is she eating enough?", and get a calm answer about what's typical for your baby's age, plus when to call your pediatrician.
- Each week brings a short "what to expect" for your baby's age, with the questions other parents are asking.
- Step-by-step guides walk you through the big stretches, like evening cluster feeding and moving from three naps to two.
- Honey Bun lives in the Chat tab, pinned right above your family chat, and it's private to you.
- Add your pediatrician's number in Settings, and an urgent answer puts a Call button right there.
- Settings moved to the gear at the top of Home.
- Honey Bun's AI now runs on Anthropic's Claude. You'll be asked once to agree before your first question.
1.0.41 Sep 25
Chat badges you can trust.
- The unread badge on Chat no longer flickers when you open the app. It used to flash the whole thread as unread for a moment before settling on the real number.
- Deleted messages no longer count toward the badge, so the number on the app icon, in your notifications and inside the app all agree.
- Settings got a fresh coat that matches the rest of our apps.
- Honey Bun now notes which screens and buttons get used, so we can spend our time on what parents actually reach for. No ads, nothing sold, and it never follows you into other apps.
1.0.40 Sep 21
- Chat photos appear the moment they arrive. You see a soft preview instantly, then the sharp picture, and photos you have already seen open straight away, even offline.
- A photo that stalls on a weak connection now tries again by itself when you come back to the app, so you never have to close Honey Bun to see it.
- Show what you are typing. Every password field now has an eye, so you can check the one you just typed instead of guessing.
- Change your password from Settings. It is its own row now, not buried three taps deep.
- Confirm your email. If you signed up with an email and password, we will ask you to click the link we sent. You have a week, and we will remind you.
- Passwords are now at least eight characters. Your current one keeps working.
- When the assistant is busy, Honey Bun now says so plainly instead of showing a server error.
1.0.38 Sep 19
Meet the rest of the family.
- Settings now has a "More from the same kitchen" card, so Daily Bread, Kairo, and Not Bread Alone are one tap away. Your Honey Bun account works in all of them.
- Your name and photo belong to your account now, so they look the same in every app you use it in. Edit them in Settings under Account, and we will ask for your first and last name once if we do not have it yet.
- My Team sets roles, not names. Everyone arrives with their own name, and you still choose their role and what they can change.
- Entries are credited to your name instead of your email address.
1.0.37 Sep 16
- Scrolling your day is noticeably faster, especially on long days with lots of entries.
- Each record card now wears a soft pastel in its own color, with the icon sitting on a matching tint, so feeds, diapers, baths, and naps read at a glance without shouting.
- Dark mode gets the same treatment, tuned for the dark background.
1.0.36 Sep 11
Chat just got a lot more expressive.
- Send GIFs without leaving the app. Tap the plus button, search for anything, and add a comment before it goes.
- React with as many emoji as you want. They stack under the message, and tapping one again takes yours back.
- Messages now show the time they were sent, and the date stays pinned at the top as you scroll back.
- Photos, videos, and GIFs are sized to fit the conversation instead of taking over the screen.
- Tapping near a video no longer opens it by mistake.
1.0.34 Sep 4
More ways to say it in chat.
- Changed your mind? Edit a message you already sent. It shows a small "edited" note, so nobody wonders what changed.
- Snap a photo without leaving the conversation: Camera now sits in the + menu, right next to Photos.
- React with far more than six emoji. Long-press a message, tap More Reactions, and pick from the full set — including a few just for little ones.
- Tap the reactions under a message to see exactly who reacted, and with what.
- Everyone's profile photo now shows next to their messages, so a glance tells you who said it.
1.0.32 Sep 3
Chat just got a big upgrade!
- Sending photos now works like your favorite messaging app: pick one or several, see them in the composer, add a comment, then hit send. Tap a photo to look closer, swipe between them, and uncheck any you change your mind about.
- Meet @honeybun. Mention it in the chat and it answers questions about your baby's day from the real log: "how many feeds today?" "when was the last diaper?" Everyone in the chat sees the answer.
- Reply to any message with a quote, iMessage-style. Tap the quote to jump back to the original.
- Mention a caregiver with @ and they'll get notified, even if they've muted the chat.
- See who's caught up: "Seen by" appears under your latest message.
- The amount field now always starts from your last bottle instead of showing zero after a varied day.
- The AI assistant found a new home in Chat, so the Home screen is a little tidier.
1.0.30 Sep 2
Say hi to your care team. Honey Bun now has a chat built right in, so parents and sitters can stay in sync without leaving the app — send a quick update, share a photo from the afternoon, react to a message. Everyone connected to your baby is already in it, no invites to send.
1.0.29 Sep 1
Your baby's week, in short — now written for you. A new AI summary on the Statistics tab turns the week's feeds, diapers, and nights into a few easy bullets, spots real shifts in eating patterns, and offers gentle tips along the way. Never medical advice, always your data.
- Statistics, decluttered: just the numbers parents actually check, plus a new Nights readout that celebrates your baby's longest stretches
- Want a quieter Home? Close the streak or next-feed card with a tap — the little pill brings it right back
- Your baby's name on Home now shows in their color
- Fixed: the family screen could briefly lose its selection checkmark, and a renamed baby could show the old name to caregivers
- For the 100-day streakers: permanent confetti, because you earned it
1.0.28 Aug 4
---Track more than one little one.
Add a second baby (or third!) right from the app — perfect for multiples or a growing family. Switch between them anytime from the team menu.
We also gave your care team more room to shine: roles, photos, and "logging as" are easier to see and edit, and everyone on the team now gets the right notifications — without getting buried when you're catching up on a busy day.
Settings got a refresh too: your baby's own settings are now visually separate from your personal preferences, with a little color of their own. And if your family shares one Alexa, everyone can see it's linked — no need to set it up twice.
Thanks for tracking with Honey Bun.
1.0.27 Jul 31
Sharing got a glow-up.
Partner logging arrived in our last update, and this release makes the whole setup much easier to understand. Inviting a partner or caregiver, joining a family, and seeing who’s connected now feels clearer, friendlier, and more intuitive from start to finish.
Same shared Honey Bun. Less setup confusion. Better teamwork at 3 AM.
1.0.26 Jul 30
Now you can share the care.
Invite your partner, a nanny, or a sitter to log right alongside you — everyone sees the same feed, diaper, and sleep history for your little one, in real time. Just share your code and they're in.
We also gave the app a tidy-up: Statistics and Settings now live in their own tabs at the bottom, so they're always one tap away. And nursing sessions now log the time you actually started feeding, not when you finished.
Thanks for tracking with Honey Bun.
1.0.25 Jul 29
Introducing The Hive
Every feed, diaper change, nap, bath, and playtime you log now builds toward something fun. The Hive tracks your daily care streak — log any one of them each day to keep it alive — and rewards consistency with 24 collectible badges, from your very first week together to a full 100-day streak.
- Daily streak tracking across feeding, diapers, sleep, bath, and play
- Pacifier Passes — earn a grace day for the inevitable busy stretches
- A visual honeycomb calendar of your last few weeks at a glance
- 24 badges to unlock, each with its own personality
1.0.22 Jul 19
The quick-add button is smoother than ever.
Tap the plus, log a diaper, feeding, or anything else, and the menu now tucks itself away cleanly every single time. No more stray buttons hanging around after you save. One less thing to think about at 3am.
Small fix, big calm. Thanks for tracking with Honey Bun.
1.0.19 Jul 6
What's New in 1.0.18
Moments — capture the little milestones! Log a first smile, a first word, or any sweet moment worth remembering, right from the + menu.
Dr. Notes — the Notes tile is now Dr. Notes, a clearer home for pediatrician visits and check-ups.
Smarter filtering — filter your timeline by more than one type at once, and the filter list now sits neatly on screen.
Move the + your way — tap the +, then tap a dotted circle to move it to another corner. Smoother animations and far easier to find than press-and-hold.
Thanks for tracking with Honey Bun!
