CoverShift is shift swap and coverage built for hourly teams. Post a shift you can't cover, coworkers claim it from the open-shift board, the manager approves with one tap. Schedule, swap, pick up shifts, request time off, clock in, run weekly rosters.

FOR EMPLOYEES
Post a shift you can't cover in seconds — select the shift, add an optional reason, and your manager and teammates are notified instantly via push.
Browse the Available Shifts board to pick up extra hours. CoverShift checks your schedule automatically before you claim — if the shift overlaps with one you already have or pushes you over your weekly hours limit, you'll see the warning before you tap.
Your schedule lives in a weekly calendar view. Swipe between weeks, tap any shift for details, or mark a shift as needing coverage right from the card. Clock in and out from your shift card; your manager sees the timestamp on their timesheet.
Sign in with Apple — no passwords to manage. Apple verifies you, we never see your password.
FOR MANAGERS
Get notified the moment an employee posts a shift for coverage. Review coverage requests — including any overtime, scheduling conflict, or role mismatch flags — and approve or deny in one tap. Both the requester AND the original employee get a push so the team knows where the shift stands.
Run your whole team from the Team tab. Invite employees with a 6-character invite code or a shareable link. See everyone's assigned roles at a glance and assign new ones in two taps.
Build shift templates for recurring patterns — Morning Barista, Closing Cashier, Weekend Lead — then generate a full week of shifts from those templates in a single action.
The Dashboard shows your team's coverage activity at a glance: today's on-duty count, open shifts, pending requests, time-off queue, and recent updates. Pull-to-refresh re-syncs everything from the server.

Every employee can clock in and out. Managers see actual vs scheduled hours per employee, variance pills, and missed-shift flags from the Timesheets view. Export weekly payroll as a CSV via the system share sheet (Mail, Messages, AirDrop, Files).
