Past Due is a late-payment chaser for solo freelancers — designers, copywriters, developers, consultants, translators — who issue 5–50 invoices a year and feel the chase as an emotional tax. Chasing late payment is awkward. You know what not to write — desperate, accusatory, robotic — but knowing the right tone for this client at this point in the cycle is harder, so you delay. Past Due drafts the right reminder at the right cadence, then hands it to your own Mail app for you to send. We never touch your money. We never send anything for you. WHAT'S INSIDE • Timeline-first dashboard — outstanding invoices ranked by days overdue, with cash-at-risk totals. • Cadence engine — a gentle nudge at 7 days, a check-in at 14, a firm note at 30, a final at 45+, each in three tones (warm, neutral, formal). • Per-client tone profiles — a long-standing client gets warm; a slow corporate gets formal. • Editable templates — start with our editorial drafts, then make them yours. • Mail handoff — every reminder opens in your Mail composer with subject, body, and PDF attachment pre-filled. You review. You send. Always. • Reports — cash at risk, average days-to-pay, late-rate by client. WHY WE BUILT IT The freelance tools we tried either auto-fired tone-blind reminders or treated the chase as a setting buried inside a billing suite. Both miss the craft: chasing well is part of running a small business, and the right words preserve the relationship you'll need again. WHAT PAST DUE DELIBERATELY DOESN'T DO • No payment processing. Your invoices and payment links are yours; we take nothing. • No automatic sending. Nothing leaves your device without your explicit tap in Mail. • No account, no login, no backend. Your data stays on your iPhone. • No tracking, no analytics, no third-party SDKs. • No subscription. Pay once for the full app — that's it. PRIVACY Past Due collects no personal information. There is no analytics, no telemetry, and no network traffic from the app itself. Drafts open in Apple Mail; reminders are sent through your own email account, not ours.
