New in 1.2: paving, tiles, sands and MOT Type 3, plus edit-in-place saved jobs. Fast offline estimates with no account required. BuildVol is the fast, offline volume and area calculator built for UK tradespeople — landscapers, groundworkers, builders, and plasterers who need accurate material estimates on site, not in an office. No internet. No account. No fuss. Your calculations stay on your device. CALCULATE IN SECONDS Enter your dimensions in any unit — mm, cm, m, inches, or feet — and BuildVol converts everything automatically. Mix units freely: length in metres, depth in mm, no problem. Supports three shapes: • Rectangle / slab / trench • Circle / circular pad • Right triangle MATERIALS BUILT FOR THE JOB Choose your material and BuildVol gives you the right output — not just m³, but the practical breakdown you actually need when ordering: • Soil — m³, weight in kg, bulk bag and 25 kg bag count • MOT Type 1 — m³ and weight in kg • Mulch — m³ and litres • Plaster — m² and 25 kg bag count • Flooring — m² and sheet count • Plus more materials available in the Pro upgrade BRINGING IN OR TAKING OUT Toggle between "Bringing in" and "Taking out" to track whether material is coming onto site or being excavated and removed. Essential for skip hire and waste disposal planning. MARGIN OF SAFETY Every calculation includes an adjustable margin of safety (waste factor). Sensible defaults are set per material — 10% for soil export, 5% for concrete — but you can set any value including decimals like 6.5% or 12.5%. Tips appear for materials where compaction or swell are common causes of under-ordering. SAVE AND SHARE JOBS Save calculations to named jobs — "Johnson patio", "Smith driveway" — with optional notes. The Jobs tab shows totals per material, split between what you're bringing in and what you're taking out, so you can send a single message to your supplier. Export any job via SMS, WhatsApp, email, or any share target on your phone. BUILT FOR SITE CONDITIONS • Dark mode by default — readable in direct sunlight • Large buttons and text — usable with work gloves on • Fully offline — works in basements, rural sites, anywhere • No account, no login, no cloud — your data stays on your phone LEGAL For estimation only. Always verify dimensions on site. Actual material requirements may vary due to compaction, swell, wastage, or irregular surfaces. BuildVol assumes ideal geometry. BuildVol works without an account and keeps your calculations on your device. We do not collect your project measurements, dimensions, or material selections. No data is sold.

BuildVol 1.2 adds 11 new Pro materials for real site work: paving slabs, ceramic/porcelain/natural-stone tiles, sharp/building/plastering sand, and MOT Type 3. You can now edit a calculation directly from a saved job, update it without creating a duplicate, move it by changing the job name, or keep the original with Save as new. Dimensions, units, notes, VAT choices, and timber/concrete costs are restored while editing. This release also improves material cost-unit handling, job organisation, privacy controls, and purchase reliability.
