The patient reading tutor for real books. Read aloud, ask questions, get pronunciation help, and keep going.
Dr. Read is a reading tutor that listens as you read aloud and offers patient help with real books, homework pages, articles, and passages.
Reading practice should feel calm, private, and useful. Dr. Read helps readers by letting them bring in the text they already want to read, then practice aloud with support close by.
Use Dr. Read to:
• Read aloud with a tutor that listens
• Get help with tricky words and pronunciation
• Slow down unfamiliar words and sound patterns
• Ask questions about the page
• Build vocabulary and comprehension
• Practice fluency without pressure
• Keep going when reading gets hard
Dr. Read is built for families who want reading help at home without turning practice into a test. It can support readers who need help with decoding, fluency, pronunciation, comprehension, unfamiliar words, or reading confidence.
The reader stays in control. Start with a book, article, homework page, or passage. Dr. Read follows along and gives calm spoken guidance when help is needed.
For readers, Dr. Read feels like support beside the page.
For parents, it creates another way to make reading practice happen at home.
Dr. Read is designed to support reading practice, not replace teachers, tutors, or reading specialists.

Dr Read is one of the most impressive AI-powered literacy tools I’ve come across. Instead of simply reading text aloud, it actually listens as you read and provides real-time pronunciation feedback, helping you build confidence and fluency with every session. The comprehension support is equally valuable, making sure you’re not just reading the words but truly understanding what you’re reading. The Chrome extension makes it easy to practice with content you already enjoy online, and the experience feels intuitive, engaging, and personalized. Whether you’re helping a child become a stronger reader, learning English, or simply looking to improve your reading skills, Dr Read is an outstanding tool. Highly recommended!
