Open a KiCAD board on your Mac. Review schematics, edit the layout, inspect Gerber and drill files, and export what your fab house needs. Circuit EDA is a circuit design app for Mac and iPhone and iPad. Open a project from Files, edit the schematic and the printed circuit board, and pick the design back up when you are away from your desk. Schematics Place symbols, draw wires, and move between sheets. Edit references, values, and other properties, then run an electrical rules check while the circuit is still easy to follow. PCB layout Place footprints, review copper layers, and adjust the board in the same project you use on your computer. Design-rule checks point out spacing and connectivity issues before the board is sent out. Manufacturing Open Gerber and Excellon drill files and look at the layers a board house will plot. Build a bill of materials, export placement data, and save a fabrication package from the project. Libraries, preview, and calculators Browse symbol and footprint libraries, edit a part when the footprint needs a change, and preview the board in 3D. Calculators cover everyday layout math: trace width, impedance, E-series values, and resistor color codes. Made for touch Pinch to zoom and drag to pan on iPhone and iPad, in portrait or landscape. Projects open from Files and iCloud Drive, can be edited in place, and shared back to your computer. File compatibility Circuit EDA reads and writes KiCad project, schematic, board, symbol, and footprint files, so a design can move between your computer and your phone without a conversion step.
