Red Letter Cards: Daily Verse

Bible Devotional for Hard Days

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

New: the words of Jesus from all four Gospels, a home-screen widget, and a seal-breaking daily draw. Tell Him what you're carrying — then hear what He has for it. Tell Jesus what you're walking with. Then hear what He has for it — in His own words. Red Letter Cards is a daily devotional for real struggle. You pin the one thing you're carrying — a job you lost, a marriage that feels far away, a diagnosis, a doubt — and each day you break three wax seals to receive three of Jesus' own words, the red letters of the Gospels, chosen for what you named. A short pastoral reflection follows, written for your situation. One question to sit with. Then you close the app. One draw a day. This isn't a content feed. It's a ritual. THE DAILY DRAW Three sealed pages. Break each seal to reveal a verse: • Where He meets you — a word that names what you're carrying • What He teaches — a word that reframes or deepens it • What He's calling you toward — a word about the next step Not past, present, future. Not fortune-telling. Three notes of pastoral counsel, grounded in Christ's actual teachings. THE READING Each verse gets a short reflection: a moment of recognition, the historical context of what Jesus was saying and to whom, and a connection back to your situation. The reading ends with one open question. The AI is a study partner, never an interpreter. It helps you do the work. It never speaks for God. THE WORDS THEMSELVES Every card is a red-letter verse — Jesus speaking — from Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts, and Revelation (World English Bible). Hundreds of verses, hand-curated so each one stands on its own and meets you gently. Selection learns what your problem is about, so someone grieving and someone anxious about money draw different words. WALK IT DAY BY DAY • A quiet calendar of the days you've drawn — no streak to break, no guilt • A home-screen widget with today's words • Reword what you're carrying as it changes, without losing your history • When it's resolved, write what Christ taught you. Your testimonies become a record of His faithfulness MADE TO BE QUIET • Three themes: Parchment, Twilight, Sanctuary • Serif typography that scales with your text-size settings • One gentle reminder a day, at the time you choose. Nothing else • Past readings stay yours, whatever your subscription state SUBSCRIPTION $39.99/year with a 7-day free trial. Single tier. Cancel anytime in iOS Settings → Subscriptions. Ratings & Reviews

The whole red-letter corpus. Every one of Jesus' words from Matthew, Mark, Luke, John, Acts and Revelation is now curated and in the deck — hundreds of verses, including the Good Shepherd, "I am the way," "let not your heart be troubled," and the whole Farewell Discourse. Smarter draws. The app now reads what you're walking with and chooses verses for it, so grief, money, marriage, doubt and burnout each draw the words that meet them. The seals break. The daily draw is a real ritual now: tap a wax seal, watch it crack and fall away, and the verse rises underneath. Today's words on your home screen. Add the widget to see what you're carrying and today's verse at a glance. Also: your reflection is ready the moment the third seal opens; a quiet calendar of the days you've drawn; reword what you're carrying without losing your history; illuminated initials; text that scales with your size settings.
