Group Feed & Community UI Enhancements
Dynamic Group Headers: Replaced the static "Group Feed" text with the actual Group Name (e.g., C3 Social, Admin Management, Youth Ministry) alongside a live post count pill.
Accurate Post Authorship: Restored post author identity (avatar, display name, handle @username, and staff role badges) on all feed cards, eliminating the bug where posts appeared authored by the group.
Distinct CMS Article Cards: CMS-broadcasted articles now display a dedicated [CMS Article] badge and a rich preview card (cover thumbnail, title, speaker, and excerpt) that visually distinguishes them from direct user discussions.
Unified Group Icons & Colors: Group avatars now cleanly render either uploaded group imagery or bold white initials over the group’s customized theme color.
2. In-App Group Management & Leadership Powers
Leader Approval Queue: Group leaders and co-leaders can review, approve, and reject membership requests directly from the app via
GroupPendingRequestsModal
.
Automated Member Request Alerts: Database triggers instantly notify group leaders and co-leaders via push notifications when users request to join approval-required groups.
Group Settings & Rules Banner: In-app editing of group metadata, theme styling, and pinned rules banners.
Tiered Group Deletion Hierarchy:
Default community group (C3 Social) and internal system groups are permanently protected against deletion and archiving.
Regular users cannot delete or create groups.
Admins can only delete groups they personally created.
Super-Admins can delete user- and admin-created groups (protected against deleting other super-admin groups).
3. Admin Management & Platform Governance
Dedicated "Admin Management" Group: Created an internal staff group with #general, #governance, and #admin-audit-log channels, auto-enrolling all admins, super-admins, and moderators.
Separation of Admin Policies: Purged admin-specific rule broadcasts from the public C3 Social feed and routed them to the Admin Management and system channels.
Platform Governance Bot: Seeded official system bot account (00000000-0000-0000-0000-000000000099) authoring 6 comprehensive platform governance articles under #admin-rules.
Full Audit Trail Attribution: Restriction and ban audit logs now display both the Admin who lifted the restriction and the Admin who originally imposed it, along with reasons and timestamps.
4. User Directory & Privacy Upgrades
Group-Scoped Member Directory: Deep-link from any group into a filtered member roster with Leaders, Members, and Pending tabs.
Private Profiles: Added support for private profiles and follow request acceptance workflows.
One-Tap Content Restriction & RLS Isolation: Instant 1-tap restrictions with visual [ Restricted User] badges and automated routing to the Paused Accounts system group.
