Live captions built for Deaf and hard-of-hearing people. See Chinese, English, and mixed speech in clear text, with one-tap translation when you need it.
Make every face-to-face conversation easier to follow.
AUV Type is designed for Deaf and hard-of-hearing people. It turns nearby Chinese, English, and mixed-language speech into clear live captions, helping you follow family, friends, and coworkers with less guesswork. When a conversation crosses languages, translate captions into Chinese or English with one tap.
No account is required to try it.
Built around real conversations
• Chinese, English, and mixed-language speech are recognized live—no language switching required
• Original transcription appears first, never held back by AI
• Choose translation Off, Chinese, or English with one tap
Made to be read
• Multiple text sizes and high contrast make captions easier to see
• A one-tap full-screen view keeps distractions out of the way
• In landscape, controls move to the phone’s microphone edge for a natural grip in either hand
Handled with care
• AI correction stays conservative; changes involving numbers, amounts, dates, times, doses, units, or negation keep the source visible and prompt you to verify
• While signed out, caption history stays only on your device; optional sign-in securely syncs the history you keep for cross-device access
• The cloud-caption service does not save audio files or chunks
• On supported iOS 26 systems, manually installed Chinese or English on-device captions can serve as a fallback
From family catch-ups to bilingual conversations at work, AUV Type is here to make more of every conversation visible.
Important: AUV Type is an accessibility aid, not a medical device. Do not rely on captions or AI output for emergencies, diagnosis, medication, legal statements, safety instructions, or other critical decisions.
