Prepaid sessions, clearer bookings, and a faster Home. NEW — PREPAID SESSIONS Sell a block of sessions as one invoice, such as four lessons paid up front. Your client sees how many are left and books each one from Appointments. Switch it on for any desk that has Appointments. Clients pay as they always have, by card through your own Stripe account or by Interac e-Transfer. NEW — BOOKING RULES Choose how long before a session your client can still cancel. Inside that window the app asks them to message you instead. Requests whose time has passed are marked Expired, so nothing waits on an answer that can no longer be given. BETTER APPOINTMENTS You see times in your workspace's timezone. Your clients see their own. Upcoming and past sessions are separated, and each one shows where it sits in its package, such as "Session 2 of 4". A new Home for everything you run, a faster way to set up a client, and notifications that clear themselves once you've seen them. NEW — SET UP A CLIENT IN MINUTES Tell Desk FT what kind of work you do and it suggests desk types that fit: monthly bookkeeping, weekly tutoring, a 12-week program and more. Pick one and your desk starts with a checklist and timeline already filled in, then invite your client by email or QR code in the same flow. While you brand your workspace, a live preview shows what your clients will see. Rename or delete a desk any time. NEW — HOME One screen for all your workspaces: which ones need your attention, your upcoming appointments across all of them, and every notification in one place. Clients can also start a workspace of their own from Settings. NOTIFICATIONS THAT CLEAR A notification goes away once you've actually seen what it was about, on both sides. Each desk shows where it stands: invite pending, waiting for your client, all tasks complete. Two new modules: talk to your client, and get paid by them — both without leaving their desk. NEW — MESSAGES A private, two-way conversation on any desk. Add the Messages module and you and your client can write to each other in the same place the rest of their work already lives, instead of losing it in a personal inbox. Newest message first, so the thing you need is at the top. Either side can mute a conversation's notifications and still read it, and any message can be reported for review. NEW — INVOICES Bill a client for your own work — a lesson, a consultation, a month of bookkeeping — from inside their desk. Add line items, tax and a due date, send it, and your client sees what they owe and by when. They can pay you two ways, and you choose which to offer: • By card, through Stripe. You connect your own Stripe account, the money goes straight to it, and Desk FT takes no cut. • By Interac e-Transfer. Your address and instructions are shown to your client with the invoice number ready to copy into the memo. Overdue invoices chase themselves, and an "Outstanding" summary sits above the list so you can see what you are owed at a glance. Invoices are for work you do in the real world. They are not a way to sell anything inside the app. ALSO IN THIS UPDATE • Invoices and Messages now look and behave like the rest of the app — the same status badges, buttons and empty states as every other module. • Module cards on your client's home screen show how many new things are waiting, not just that something is. • Sign-in and invite links open the app reliably again, including from the Stripe hand-back. • Messages and unread badges no longer clear themselves late, which had left conversations looking unread after you had read them. Clients request a time from their desk and you confirm or decline. Double-booking is blocked across all your desks, and everyone sees times in the right timezone. NEW — YOUR PROFILE, IN THEIR APP Clients can tap your logo to see who they're working with: your photo, a short bio, tap-to-call, tap-to-email and any links you want to share. Add yours in Settings. INVITES NOW TAKE ONE TAP Your client taps the link in your invite email and lands straight on the Accept screen, already signed in — no second email, no magic-link detour. The invite also shows them your workspace name and branding before they commit. EMAIL NOTIFICATIONS Get an email as well as a push when a client submits a form, uploads a file or completes a checklist item — handy if you work mostly at a desktop. Turn it off any time in Settings. DUE-DATE REMINDERS Timeline items with a due date now remind your client the day before, on the day, and if they fall behind.
