Programme Guide and recent searches. • New Programme Guide: everything on air right now across your country's stations, laid out by time. Tap a show to listen. Find it under Now on air on the home screen. • Search remembers your recent searches — tap one to run it again, or clear them any time. • Tap anywhere outside the search field to put the keyboard away.

Made for iPhone Duo. • Unfold it while a station plays and the player opens a second column beside it: what's up next, today's schedule, recently played and sister stations. • Half-fold it on a table: the player sits on the top half and the rest of the app stays usable on the bottom half. • On the inner display, browsing and search show the list and the station page side by side.

Ask Siri for any station. • Say "Play BBC Radio 4 on Airtune" — any station in the catalogue, not only your favorites. "Next station" and "Pause" work by voice too. • New in Settings: Save mobile data. On mobile data, stations play at a lower quality when they offer one — about half the data. On by default. • When a station sends no song title, the lock screen, Dynamic Island and CarPlay show the program on air instead of repeating the station name.

Favorites that stay removed. • Remove a station from your Favorites and it leaves your account too — on the web and your other devices — instead of coming back the next time you open the app. • A favorite you remove on the web or another device disappears here as well. • In CarPlay with your iPhone in your pocket, the stations you play now show up in Recently played. • Better at spotting a station that won't play in the car, so we can fix it faster.

Better in the car. • With a Bluetooth car kit or headphones connected, a car button on the player takes you straight to Car Mode — no trip to Settings. • Started a station from your Favourites or a playlist? Car Mode shows that list along the bottom, so the next one is a tap away. • Car Mode fits smaller iPhones: the controls no longer sit on top of the song title. • Sign in with Google, Apple or Amazon from one row of their logos. • Return in the sign-in code form now does what the button does. • Better at spotting a station that won't play, so we can fix it faster.

Smaller things, in the right places. • The settings gear is on every tab now, not only the first one. • Discover lists countries with their flags. • Changing your country reloads the whole home screen, not half of it. • In landscape the play button stays above the fold, even while a programme is on air. • Signing in with Google, Apple or Amazon sits under the code sign-in, where it belongs, instead of on the password form. • The Settings title and the Convoy tab follow the language you picked, like the rest of the app.

Landscape, and a page for every station. • Turn your iPhone sideways. Every screen works in landscape now, and the tabs move into a column down the left so the stations keep the height. • iPad gets that column in both orientations, along with sheets and cards sized for a tablet rather than a phone. • Every station has a page of its own: what's on now, what it played, the rest of the broadcaster's network, and stations like it. Press and hold a station, or tap its name while it plays. • Car Mode, the equalizer and the schedule all fit sideways now, and the equalizer scrolls when the text is large. • "Reorder playlists" and the station counts beside it are translated everywhere, instead of falling back to English.

Airtune is on Apple TV. • The Apple TV app is here — your stations, favorites and playlists on the big screen, with the full-screen visualizer and your own backgrounds. Find it in the App Store on your Apple TV and sign in by scanning a code. • Report an issue straight from the Now Playing screen: a broken or choppy stream, a wrong name or logo, or content that doesn't belong. • Long favorite lists now refresh all at once, so they stay up to date. • Fixes for iOS 27.

For your TVs, and for a weak signal. • Name your TVs — Living room, Garden, Bar — under Settings → Active sessions, and tap "Show 2 on this TV" to see which screen is which. • Add your own pictures for the TV visualizer's background from Settings → TV backgrounds. • Opening Airtune with no connection keeps you signed in, and the home page says it's offline instead of spinning — it loads by itself once you're back online.

Playback fixes, mostly for long drives. • The radio comes back on its own after another app takes the sound — a navigation prompt or another music app. Before, it stayed silent until you reopened Airtune. • A dropped connection no longer stops playback after a few seconds. Airtune keeps trying quietly, so a tunnel or a weak signal doesn't cost you the station. • The curated playlist screen has its back button, and saving a playlist no longer crashes.

Fixed a bug that left some stations silent when the equalizer was set to anything other than Flat.

Airtune is now built for iPad — a universal app with layouts made for the big screen, in every orientation. • iPad: full support, from the station lists to Now Playing and Car Mode • Home screen widgets: quick station tiles, your next alarm, and today's schedule • Curated lists: hand-picked station collections for your country • Playlist order now follows your account across iPhone, iPad and the web • Sign in with Apple now works for Apple IDs registered to a phone number • Fixes: the search keyboard could get stuck with nothing playing, and listening time was lost after a phone call

Introducing Convoy Mode — hands-free voice messages for people travelling together. Send short voice clips to your group while everyone keeps listening to their own station; an incoming message lowers your radio, plays, and the radio returns, so you hear it without touching your phone. Plus the usual round of fixes and refinements.

New in-app setup guide on the Alarms screen. • New Siri & Shortcuts actions: Play My Favourites, Play My Alarm Station, and Play a Station. • You can now change an alarm's station. • Improvements and bug fixes.
