Two Halloween critters join SkyCritter, available for a limited time. Hex is a witch kitten who is quite sure she makes the weather, and is always happy to take the credit for it. Boo is a cheerful puppy made of soft mist who has noticed the ground seems oddly far away lately. Both come with every weather mood and their own voices Also in this update: a fix for a location error that could appear when opening the app.

Find them in Settings -> Critters. Also in this update: your critter (and the sky) now wake up on time in the morning, plus smaller fixes and polish.

Three new critters join the roster! • Jimothy: the round raccoon legend. Short spine, big heart. • Mochi: a zen capybara. Every forecast is another spa treatment. • Lufi : an Alaskan malamute who howls her opinions and thinks snow is the best thing ever invented. • NEW: Share your weather! Tap the share button for a picture-perfect card of your critter in today's sky. • SkyCritter Pro is now a simple yearly subscription — or grab Pro Lifetime once and never think about it again. • Fixed: the UV index was hiding (and stuck at zero). It's back, and your critter's sunscreen finally works. • VoiceOver now describes your critter — in English and Spanish.

Polish and fixes: - The critter store now responds instantly to every tap, with clear feedback while a purchase is in progress. - Text over the sky stays readable in dark mode. - Forecast layout no longer squishes during triple digit heat waves. - Smoother sky color transitions at dawn and dusk.

Two new critters just hatched! • Meet Ziggy, a very curious raccoon who is always getting into something. Puddle splashing, snowflake snatching, and a bandit mask on top of a bandit mask. • Meet Diva, a Siamese kitten with main character energy. Rain was not approved, snow is auditioning for her, and thunder is the one thing that breaks the act. • A new "New" section in the critter store spotlights the latest arrivals, with sorting and filtering by animal type. • Your critter's hourly forecast now starts at the current hour. * fixed a bug with dark mode reducing contrast of app text

Your critter is on your wrist! SkyCritter now includes an Apple Watch app: open it to see your critter, the sky, and the weather at a glance. Add the SkyCritter complication to your watch face to keep your critter close all day. Your critter found their voice, everywhere: - Tap them on the home screen and they chat back. Say everything they know and they will need a little quiet time, just like a real pet. - Turn on the daily summary and they will tell you the morning weather in their own words. Severe weather, UV, air quality, and pollen alerts are there when you want them. - The home screen widget now shows what your critter is saying. Critters also strike different poses as the weather changes, and Huckleberry finally learned to howl at the moon. Also in this update: - 24-hour time option (Settings, Units) - The hourly forecast starts at the current hour - Very clean air now shows its (excellent) air quality instead of "unavailable", and when data truly cannot load, the app explains why - Friendlier messages when things go wrong, plus lots of small fixes

Thank you for reviewing SkyCritter. WHAT IS NEW IN THIS BUILD 1. Tap the critter on the home screen: a small speech bubble appears for about 5 seconds with a short weather-themed line. Tapping again shows a different line. After all lines have been seen, the critter shows "..." until it has rested for about 30 seconds. Cosmetic feature only, no data involved. 2. Critters now vary their pose when the weather changes or the app relaunches. 3. Air quality fixes: locations with very clean air (US EPA AQI 0) now display correctly, and when data genuinely cannot load, the card explains why (offline, network filtering, or no coverage in the area). 4. Clearer plain-language error messages for location and network failures. IN-APP PURCHASES (unchanged from 1.1.x) - SkyCritter Pro, $4.99 non-consumable: unlocks the Air Quality and Pollen card on the home screen. Data is provided by Google's Air Quality and Pollen APIs. - Ash (gray cat) and Huckleberry (golden puppy), $1.99 each, non-consumable cosmetic critter skins. Purchase and switch in Settings > Critters. - Restore Purchases is available in Settings > Critters. 5. bug fix for paid users where API wasn't pulling data for release version but was for debug version
