Fixed SCP downloads and uploads that hung for about a minute after the last file and then failed. SFTP was not affected.

SSH keys for SFTP and SCP: choose a private key in the connection settings - OpenSSH, PEM or PuTTY .ppk (versions 2 and 3), also encrypted with a passphrase. The password stays as a fallback, and keys from imported WinSCP sessions are filled in. The ssh-agent on your Mac can sign in too - no key file needed. Fixes and improvements.

Interrupted uploads resume (Commands > Resume S3 uploads) and are checked with SHA-256. - Resizable columns: drag a column edge, double-click to fit. New optional columns Type, Created, Date added and Last opened. - Customizable toolbar: order and visibility in Settings > Toolbar, or right-click the toolbar. - Keyboard shortcuts for 63 commands, now with a second shortcut for each (PRO). - Finder: Services > Open in nViPER Tab / Window, and File > Create Finder alias. - Reclaim Disk Space converts huge images with the same encoder as Convert images - JPEG, WebP, HEIC and AVIF. - Many fixes from a full audit: folder access permissions, Find in Files, the media player and image conversion.

Version 5.3.0 converts pictures and plays audio and video right in nViPER. - File > Convert images (PRO): turn PNG, HEIC, TIFF and other pictures into JPG, PNG, WebP, HEIC and more, limit the size (for example 3000 x 2500), set the quality and keep, strip GPS or drop the metadata. Save next to the original or into the other panel, or move - the original goes to the Trash. Runs in the background and Undo takes it all back. - Audio in the quick view (Space) and the viewer (F3): m4a, mp3, AAC, WAV, FLAC, AIFF with the album cover, title and artist. - Video plays right in the quick view and the viewer (also VP9; AV1 needs an M3 or newer Mac - older ones play its sound). - Playback speed from 0.5x to 3x; it stays for the next files, so a whole series plays at 1.75x. - Slideshow in the quick view and the viewer: pictures every few seconds (2 to 60), audio and video to their end, then the next file in the list. - A saved SFTP password is no longer asked for again after a restart (save it once more after the update).

Version 5.2.4 brings the third round of Total Commander habits and customer feedback. - Compact layout is now the default: more room for files with the same font and row height. Switch it off in Settings > Appearance and it stays off. - The panel status line shows the item under the cursor, like Total Commander: name, size (DIR for a folder), date and time and attributes - also in the brief view. With a selection it shows "3 of 31 selected" and their size. - Insert on a folder marks it and measures its size. - ZIP archives from DOS and old Windows show Slovak, Czech and other names with their original code page correctly - in the list, the viewer, when unpacking and in search. - Back inside an archive goes one level up, and from the archive root out to the folder with the archive. - Larger file icons; the row height stays the same.

Version 5.2.3 brings the keyboard and habits of Total Commander to the Mac, an optional compact look, favorite apps in the toolbar and much lower memory use with photos - together with customer requests and everything from 5.1. NEW IN 5.2 - File compare and folder synchronization are now free, with no size or file limits. - Total Commander keyboard profile (Settings > Shortcuts > Keyboard): TC keys for sorting and views, Cmd+D directory hotlist with submenus, Backspace for the parent folder. In this profile quick search can also show only the matching files. - Compact layout (Settings > Appearance): lower toolbar, tabs, path bar and bottom bars; messages appear briefly above the list. RegEx, several masks and search inside archives are part of PRO. - Multi-rename at TC level: upper and lower case, photo date from EXIF, several replacements at once, presets and undo after closing. - Archives: pack into the other panel, move to archive, unpack several archives at once, test archives. Packing ZIP (now also with a password) and TGZ is part of PRO; TAR is free. - Shift+F6 renames right in the row. - File list: your own font size and bold, your own colors with a second background for stripes, colors by file type, natural sorting by your language, sizes in bytes and dates with seconds. - Photos: quick view (Space) decodes at most 2048 px, so browsing photos no longer eats memory; the viewer, quick view and thumbnails also show TGA and PNM images. Optional RAM indicator in the toolbar. - Thumbnails flow in rows across the whole panel. Total (dark) theme: light window with gray file lists, like classic Total Commander. Version 5.0.0 brings a faster photo workflow, safer server connections and two rounds of UX improvements. - Quick Preview now opens CSV, XML, ISDOC and other text files detected by content. Switching between PDF and image previews no longer fades to black. - Photo focus mode gives the preview 84 percent of the window. The divider is draggable, layouts remember its position, and the preview can open in a separate window. - Native Quick Look and ImageIO thumbnails add HEIC, RAW, video and PDF support. Photo dimensions, size, date and available EXIF details appear in the preview. - Drag multiple selected files to Finder, or copy folders directly between two SFTP, FTP, SCP or WebDAV panels. - Connection Manager now filters by name, host, user or protocol and clearly labels every connection type. - Settings now have real Save and Cancel behavior. The Help menu, Command Palette and a cleaner Open With submenu make commands easier to discover. - Clicking disk capacity opens the disk usage map, while Refresh also recalculates selected folder sizes. - Improved keyboard focus, loading and error announcements make panels, previews and common dialogs more accessible. - SSH host key handling now migrates older pins and provides a safe recovery dialog when a key really changes.

Fixed: Copy/Move now report what happened and clear source selection when a full operation completes (configurable in Edit menu). Rename, symlink, and single-file compress now correctly preserve file extensions instead of including them in the selected text. Added Enter/Escape keyboard support to five dialogs that previously required the mouse (multi-rename, custom commands, folder sync, SFTP connection editors). Fixed a bug where pressing Enter on a folder outside the allowed sandbox scope could silently switch to a different folder. The app now remembers your last-used selection mask, search text, split size, archive format, and rename pattern. Fixed a double-click issue that could create a duplicate archive or rename operation.
