Goals & Projects • Projects can have a target date, like goals. It shows on project cards, in the day summary and weekly review, and on the Project widget. • The "+" on the Goals tab asks whether to add a project to the goal on screen or a new goal. • Project Planner: rename tasks in place and resize the notes sidebar. • Search finds goals, projects and areas. Tasks • Tag manager: rename, merge or remove a tag across every task. • Link tasks from notes: Copy link, type @@ to pick a task, and see backlinks. • Reorder subtasks by dragging or long-pressing the grip. • Tasks show when they were created and completed. Storage and sync • Stays quick with thousands of Inbox tasks, and saving writes only what changed. • Daily notes move to the device's database, freeing space. • The Recycle Bin can empty itself after 7, 30 or 90 days. • Storage Breakdown forecasts when storage will fill, with a warning before it does. • Editing one occurrence of a recurring task on two devices keeps both edits. • Auto-backup skips unchanged backups. Calendars and more • Calendar feeds show recurring events as the server defines them. • JOBO: skip a recurring occurrence from today's Check. • Many smaller fixes.

A new Settings panel - Settings is organized into topics: General, Appearance, Features, AI Features, Sync, Integrations, Notifications, Backup & Restore, and About & Help. - Search finds any setting, even one tucked inside a card. - Theme: choose Light, Dark or System. System follows your device. - Every section is a card with its own switch or status, including iCloud sync and Direct Access. - Sync settings save card by card, and turning GLANCEvault off pauses it without forgetting your connection. - A sync problem marks Sync in red and takes you straight to the setting that explains it. - About & Help has your version, help links, the Getting Started checklist and storage use. - Each page opens at its top, and going back returns you to where you were. AI - AI features start switched off and stay off until your provider has an API key. With no key, nothing AI-related appears. Undo - Undo says what it undid, offers a way back, and stays up long enough to read. - Undo now restores Frames. Fixes and improvements - WevDAV sync works again. - Goals have a notes box. - Linked notes refresh after a sync. - On iPad, disconnecting Obsidian now fully clears the vault. - Restoring a backup from its history asks for confirmation first. - WebDAV: a missing remote file can no longer be overwritten by the first sync. - Many smaller fixes.

This update fixes a problem in 5.7.0 that stopped sync on iPhone and iPad. Please update. • GLANCEvault, WebDAV, the Obsidian bridge and calendar subscriptions work again. In 5.7.0 their requests were blocked, and GLANCEvault could wrongly say the server needed an update. • Your GLANCEvault token is no longer written to the developer console when a request fails. • The Obsidian bridge only sends changes under a key it has checked against your GLANCEvault account. • The notes editor keeps a long note's height when you tap to edit, instead of shrinking to a small box.

Direct Access sync • Sync through a file in Nextcloud, Google Drive, Dropbox or iCloud Drive. In Settings > Cloud Sync, choose or create the sync file. It runs alongside iCloud and GLANCEvault. • Optional encryption with your sync passphrase. • Multi-user rosters and GLANCE intents can sync through Direct Access too, with intents encrypted by your passphrase. Recurring tasks • Changing one occurrence now asks whether to change only that one or the whole series. • Editing a pattern keeps the series' start date, and yearly and every-2-weeks patterns anchor on the occurrence you edited. • Yearly tasks started on 29 February return to the 29th in leap years. Sync • iCloud no longer waits without limit for a download: after two minutes your phone's edits go through. • A slow or unreachable sync server no longer holds up the app. • Deleted tasks stay deleted after a long time offline. • WebDAV and Nextcloud folders with extra slashes now work, and a failed upload no longer shows as synced. • GLANCEvault reports what actually went wrong. • Intents sent through iCloud reach your other devices again when WebDAV intents encryption is on. • A new Sync diagnostics panel explains what a sync would change. Also • A language chosen in iOS Settings now applies to the whole app. • The WEEK and DAY arrows no longer skip days in rolling views. • The welcome tour stays closed once you close it. • Fixes for calendar file import, and for JOBO (experimental) on iPad and iPhone.

dayGLANCE 5.6.0 TASKS • Notes & subtasks in the New and Edit Task forms, with formatting and linked Obsidian notes. • Schedule a follow-up task right from the completion toast: it opens pre-filled with the title, tags, colour, project and a link back. • Create a new project straight from the task form's project picker. • A finished task's star is now a plain mark. PROJECTS & GOALS • Add Inbox tasks to a project from its card, in one step with Undo. • New tasks land at the top in PLANNER and on project cards. • PLANNER's header toggles get their own row on iPhone, and hyperGLANCE settings open as their own page. • Choose a card size for Goals & Projects. OBSIDIAN • A project's or goal's notes now live in its linked Obsidian note, and are never overwritten if the note changed in Obsidian. • Link a note by typing its [[wikilink]] into a project or goal title. • Settings preview your daily-note path and warn about a nested folder. AI • Current Gemini and Claude models, a live model list from your provider, and any model id can be typed in. NAVIGATION • Swipe back closes PLANNER, the Bucket List and the task editor. • Closing MONTH's day sheet stays on Timeline. EXPERIMENTAL: JOBO • Plan versus actual now works on iPhone and iPad in portrait, with add and edit, the Check and statistics. Turn it on in Settings.

• Notes on calendar events: your own note on an event now survives a calendar refresh. The calendar's description shows read-only above it, and your note uses the same editor as tasks, with formatting. • Deadlines for project tasks: unscheduled tasks on a project card, and in the PLANNER's Unscheduled column, can take a deadline, which puts them on the timeline on their due date. • Polish and Ukrainian now reach the widgets and notifications, and Simplified Chinese reaches the widgets. • On iPad: a bigger timeline for MULTI and WEEK (up to 150%, set in Settings), a notes sidebar in the PLANNER for the selected task, and larger text and tap targets on SCHED's cards. • Messages about a scheduling clash now name the event. • dayGLANCE keeps your view across its midnight refresh. • Obsidian bridge: every device now lists the copies of your vault, and warns when one has fallen behind or is not applying your changes.

MONTH comes to the Home Screen. MONTH WIDGET The whole month as a grid, each day a miniature timeline of its blocks, in large and extra large. The extra-large size adds the day's agenda beside the grid. It runs its own calendar fetch across the six weeks it draws, so nothing pops in and out, and it says when a day is still only planned. Chevrons page a month at a time, a Today button returns, and tapping a day opens it in MONTH with its agenda. Light and dark follow the system. DAY DIAL Your GTD Frames are now drawn on the face, as enclosures around the blocks inside them, and the hub names the frame you are in and the free time left in it. A Frames percentage joins the day's totals. On iPad the dial gains an extra-large size, split down the middle with the All Day and legend cards beside it. GOALS & PROJECTS On iPad, Goals & Projects is no longer a panel over the calendar but a space of its own, with a sidebar, an area filter, goal cards connected to their projects, and drag and drop to move a project between goals. On iPhone the Goals tab follows the same design, with tighter controls, smoother swipes and a Filter button in the Projects row. LANGUAGES Ukrainian and Polish join the app, with the plural forms their grammar needs. Dates, durations and speech recognition now follow the language you set rather than the device's, and AI answers come back in it too. WIDGETS AND FIXES Widget rows open the thing they name: a task row its task, a goal row the goal, an agenda row on another day that day in MONTH. The project widget lists tasks in the app's order, and that order now holds across your devices. A web address ending in a fragment is no longer read as a tag. TRMNL pushes now fit the service's real size limit, dropping the furthest-ahead rows first so the next thing due always survives. Sync is more reliable when the app is closed partway through syncing.

The Day Dial comes to the Home Screen. DAY DIAL WIDGET Your whole day as a ring: every timed block in its real colour, routines on their own track, and the hours around them. Inside the ring, the running task with its tag, how much is left and when it ends, and how much open time follows. Sunrise, sunset and the moon are drawn at their real angles for your location. The countdown stays live between refreshes, by the minute on iOS 18 and later. A separate monochrome face keeps the dial readable on tinted and clear Home Screens, and it scales to every large-widget size on iPhone and iPad, down to iPad mini. Tap it to open the day. Set your location under Settings, Location. KEY TASKS Star the few tasks you actually mean to move forward today, with a quiet note when a day carries more than three. A star belongs to the day rather than to the task, so rescheduling clears it and the question gets asked again. SCHEDULE HISTORY A task that has moved now shows where it was first planned, how often it has been pushed back after coming due, and the stops it actually made along the way. WEEK An end hour to match the start hour, and an honest count of what falls outside the range on screen. WIDGETS All seven widgets change day at midnight on their own, without opening the app, and say plainly when what they are showing has gone out of date. Dragging a block to resize it no longer reloads them at every step of the drag; they update once, when you let go. FIXES Calendar feeds that tag timed events explicitly no longer import every one of them as all-day, which previously cost a whole recurring series its time of day. WEEK and SCHED now load device calendar events for every day they draw, so days no longer read as emptier than they are. The 24-hour setting is applied consistently across clock labels. Microphone and speech messages are translated, Italian ordinals follow the right rules, and Simplified Chinese gets a missing plural form.

Fixes after MONTH. Sync: a device could push one vault write per pull, forever, over a routine completion dropped at midnight. That loop is closed, and Obsidian settings no longer re-push once a minute on slow cycles. Obsidian: a task whose note section was wiped by a sync merge gets its line back on the next pass. A lagging plugin copy can no longer revert a retitle. Notes added later to a linked task go to the task's own vault note. Local notes on a linked task are shown beneath the vault note instead of hidden, and the planner card shows the open book for a vault note. Everywhere: Spotlight now searches daily notes. Recurring device-calendar events show every occurrence in MONTH instead of only the first. Weekly recurrence limits hold when viewed from a later week. A task's [[wikilink]] no longer shows raw in reminders, widgets, lists and toasts; a title that is only a link reads as the note's name. The Obsidian bridge plugin stays at 0.9.1.

MONTH view The whole month at once. Each day is a miniature timeline of its blocks, drawn to the same hour scale, so a full Tuesday and an empty Sunday read at a glance. Tap a day to open its agenda in a sheet and swipe, or use the arrow keys, to move between days. On a wide Mac window the selected day's agenda docks beside the grid instead, and the header carries the month's numbers: completion, tasks done, inbox done, time spent against time planned, focus time. MONTH is view 4 on the keyboard, with Space, the arrow keys and Enter walking the grid. Todoist A read-source integration: Todoist supplies the tasks, dayGLANCE owns the time. Choose projects, labels or a filter, and the matching tasks arrive in the inbox ready to block. Completing a scheduled task here closes it in Todoist; nothing else is ever written back, and a task missing from Todoist is never deleted here. Views on this device Turn off the views you do not use on a given device. They leave the switcher, the shortcuts and the default picker there and nowhere else. Tablets choose per orientation. Also in this release • Overdue tasks appear in today's agenda, and GLANCE gets a one-click postpone. • Every day header carries the daily note and focus log buttons, and tapping the date starts an all-day task. • Day Dial: complications are configured a corner at a time, with an Aligned ring and a project ring added, and the moon rides the sky track. • Obsidian: notes typed on a task in a linked project become a note in that project's folder, and the open-book icon appears only when the note is in the vault. • Larger sync caches moved out of web storage, and the storage gauge says what it measures. • #tag autocomplete works for non-Latin and nested tags.

Day Dial, second pass The 24-hour face now carries watch-style complications in its corners, chosen per device in the Layers panel: the inbox count, today's deadline count, any habit as its own ring, and a Done subdial that shows how much of the day's planned work is finished. Each one opens what it reports. Routines ride their own track inside the tick field, with bar length matching their real duration. All-day items appear in a pill beside the day's totals, so a holiday or a birthday no longer vanishes from the face. A daylight band, driven by solar elevation and UV, hugs the schedule ring, and focus sessions are drawn as a rail inside the block they belonged to. Overlapping blocks now stack in concentric lanes rather than painting over each other. Blocks that run past midnight are drawn flush to the boundary and speak their true hours. Done is told apart from merely over. The ring is fully reachable by keyboard and screen reader. Also in this release • Routine removals survive a fresh launch on a new day. • Daily-note sync drops stale observations, so an older copy of a note can no longer overwrite a newer one. • The hub date abbreviates when a long month would run into the temperatures. • The vault connection, cloud sync preference and cached keys now live in the Keychain, so a reboot that clears web storage no longer sends you back to onboarding.

Obsidian, both ways Meet the dayGLANCE Bridge, an Obsidian plugin that turns the vault integration into a live, two-way connection. Pair your vault with a one-time code and: - See your agenda inside Obsidian: a mini calendar, the day's scheduled tasks, recurring instances, calendar events and routines, with checkboxes that complete tasks in dayGLANCE. - Link notes to projects and goals. Links survive renames, project notes carry live status, and a project's tasks live in its note. Tasks typed there import into the project. - Use any folder or tag as a task source, not just daily notes. - Type a time onto an inbox task in Obsidian to schedule it. - Keep completion timestamps and the completion log in your vault. Get the plugin and setup steps from the dayGLANCE GitHub release. It requires a GLANCEvault account. Also in this release - Task order inside a project now syncs across devices. - Simplified Chinese. - Recurring calendar events keep their real duration. - Tasks sent from lastGLANCE no longer revert when an idle device wakes up. - TRMNL updates only when something changes and respects the service's limits. - Daily note edits no longer bounce between devices. - The launch image fits the phone.

IN YOUR LANGUAGE: Everything outside the app window was still English. No longer: the widget gallery, Control Center controls, widget empty states, and the Snooze 15m and Mark Complete notification buttons now appear in German, Spanish, French, Italian, and Portuguese. Reminder notifications are localized too, across all seven app languages, and switching languages rewrites reminders already scheduled so none of them fire in your previous language. SIRI AND SHORTCUTS: dayGLANCE now appears in the Shortcuts app and answers Siri, with three actions: add an inbox task, add a scheduled task, and start a focus session. They feed Spotlight and Siri suggestions as well. OTHER FIXES: - Control Center controls now work. Scheduled Task, Inbox Task, and Voice Task did nothing at all when tapped. - Quick Actions now work on a cold launch. Long-pressing the app icon and tapping a shortcut previously just opened the app unless it was still running in the background. - Fixed a blank screen after iOS reclaimed the app's web view in the background. - Day Dial: an hour label now fades when a sunrise or sunset mark sits on it, instead of the two overlapping into something unreadable.

DAY DIAL: Tap GLANCE to see your whole day as a glowing 24-hour instrument: your tasks and events as arcs in their own colors, brighter ahead of now and receding behind it, with an orange needle sweeping the face in real time. The dial also shows sunrise and sunset marks, hourly temperatures, stretches of rain or snow, your sleep window, and totals for Effort, Restore, Sleep, and Unblocked time. Tap a block to see its details in the hub, tap again to complete it or jump to it in the planner. Swipe to browse days, and tap TODAY to snap back. Ambient mode turns the dial into a screensaver: the status bar tucks away, the screen stays awake, controls fade, and a subtle pixel drift protects OLED displays. You can set it to start on its own after a few minutes of inactivity. Tap anywhere to wake. Also fixed: additional calendars no longer disappear when syncing settings across devices.

Your Live Activity just got smarter. The Dynamic Island and lock screen summary now refresh quietly in the background, so your day stays current even when you have not opened the app in a while, and yesterday's summary cleans itself up after midnight. Also in this release: • Connect multiple CalDAV and ICS calendars at once, all managed in one list • Repeat tasks on more than one weekday, like Mon/Wed/Fri • Recurring tasks now stay linked to their project and count toward its progress • Project progress shows "not measurable" instead of a misleading zero • The project planner remembers whether you show or hide completed tasks • Portuguese is now available in both Brazilian and European variants

Sharing into dayGLANCE: Sharing a link or some text into dayGLANCE used to flash an empty white panel and look like it had failed. It now shows a proper confirmation with what was captured, in light or dark to match your device. Two ways shares could go missing are fixed with it: • Sharing anything containing a line break, a paragraph from Notes for example, used to discard not just that share but every other share waiting alongside it. Nothing is lost now, and a share that cannot be read is kept for the next attempt instead of dropped. • Sharing several things in a row without opening the app only kept the last one. Every share now arrives, and they open one at a time so you can file each one. More languages: German, Spanish, Italian and Portuguese were shipping in the app but never loading. They load now, and the remaining untranslated text is filled in. There is also a language picker in Settings, then App Settings, so you can choose directly rather than relying on what your device reports. Improvements: • PLANNER: hide the SCHEDULED list for a project, so a project you are working through does not push everything else off the screen. • A task note that is only a phone number gets a call button on the task row. Under the hood: • A failed sync cycle now rolls back correctly, so the next one re-reads what it missed rather than stepping past it. • Vault connections stagger their reconnects, so a server coming back does not take every device at the same instant.

YOUR DAY IN THE DYNAMIC ISLAND: New opt-in Live Activity: the current or next block with a live countdown and progress ring, time completed, and your Effort/Restore balance, without opening the app. The ring is tinted indigo for Effort and green for Restore, with a bolt or leaf inside it, so a glance tells you what kind of block is running as well as how much is left. The Lock Screen gets a matching banner. Turn it on in Settings > Notifications. Computed entirely on your device. No server, no tracking. SUMMARY STRIP: Floating pills over the timeline show unblocked time, your Effort/Restore balance, and per-tag totals that become done/planned as you complete tasks. On iPhone and iPad it collapses to a single pill, and it now appears in LIST as well as GRID. DAY WINDOW: Set start and end markers to define your day. Unblocked time respects them, and they sync across your devices. RESET APP DATA: Settings > Backups now has a way to erase everything on this device and start from empty, with an export reminder beside it. You can also delete the copy in iCloud, so nothing restores it here or on a reinstall. ICLOUD ASKS BEFORE RESTORING: Reinstalling the app used to bring everything back with no prompt, because the iCloud copy lives outside the app and deleting the app never removed it. Now you get a choice: restore from iCloud, or start fresh on this device. Starting fresh turns iCloud sync off for that device only and leaves the iCloud copy and your other devices alone. A new iCloud sync switch in Settings > Cloud Sync makes it reversible, and iCloud diagnostics in the same place shows exactly what this device can see. COLLAPSIBLE GLANCE BUTTONS: One handle folds the GLANCE action buttons away and back. The choice sticks across reloads and is per device. FIXES: Recurring tasks no longer disappear from today's views and widgets while you browse other days. LIST opens at the current time. Multi-user no longer claims cloud sync is missing on a device syncing over iCloud, and explains that iCloud is tied to a single Apple ID instead. Widgets and the Live Activity update only when something has actually changed. A sync guard that could republish a temporarily evicted iCloud file has been corrected.
