A steady, sample-accurate tonic drone in any key. Sing over it, tune to it, drill intervals against it, and keep it sounding with the screen off. Tuning Drone gives you one thing musicians keep reaching for and rarely get done well: a steady, sample-accurate tonic drone in any key, ready in two taps and happy to hold for as long as you need it. Most drone apps are a bolted-on extra inside a tuner, or a looped sample that drifts, clicks, or fades when the screen locks. Tuning Drone is built the other way round. The tone is synthesized live on your device from the exact frequency you chose — no loops, no seams, no drift — and it keeps sounding with the screen off or while you switch to sheet music in another app. WHAT YOU GET • Sing or play in tune against a tonal center that never wanders — all 12 tonics, five octaves, locked to concert pitch • Match any ensemble or period tuning with an A4 reference from 430 to 446 Hz plus a fine trim of ±50 cents • Hear the drone the way your instrument does with four timbres — sine, triangle, square, and saw • Keep the drone running through a locked screen, a metronome, or a PDF score in the foreground • Turn listening into training with four practice modes: single note, perfect fifth, octave, and major scale • See your practice add up with session history, total minutes per key, longest session, and a day streak PERFECT FOR • Singers who want an honest reference for warm-ups and intonation work • String, wind, and brass players tuning long tones against a fixed root • Students drilling intervals and scale degrees by ear • Raga, folk, and modal musicians who practice over a sustained tonic WHY NOT JUST USE A TUNER OR A LOOPED FILE? A tuner tells you after the fact whether you were sharp or flat. A drone lets you hear it while it happens and fix it in real time. A looped recording carries the tuning of whoever recorded it and cuts out the moment your phone locks. Tuning Drone generates the exact pitch you asked for, at the reference you set, and keeps going until you stop it. PRIVATE BY DEFAULT Everything runs on your device. There is no account, no sign-in, no analytics dashboard watching you, and no ads. Your practice history is stored locally and you can clear it with one tap. FULL ACCESS Tuning Drone is a paid app. A subscription unlocks the full app — every tonic and octave, all four timbres, A4 and cents trim, all practice modes, and unlimited session stats. Choose a weekly plan, a yearly plan, or a one-time lifetime purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless cancelled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period, and you can manage or cancel them in your App Store account settings at any time. The price is shown in the app before you confirm. Pick your tonic, press play, and hold your first long tone today.
