Scanning now has its own tab. The scanner is one tap away from anywhere in the app, and your three most recent scans sit right on the camera screen for quick reopening. You can also scan codes from photos and screenshots — pick any image from your library and the QR or barcode in it is read on the spot. Scan results do more now. Any result can be shared, product barcodes can be looked up on the web, and links show their domain up front, with a clear warning when a link is not secure. Scan history can be filtered by type, and single entries can be swiped away. If you mostly scan links, turn on auto-open in settings and they will open in your browser the moment they are scanned.

Print directly from the app: any QR card can now go straight to your AirPrint printer, and exported PDFs are sharper — the QR is drawn as a vector, so it stays crisp at any size. SVG export now includes your center logo. Every saved QR can also be customized on its own — colors and logo per code — and opened fullscreen at max brightness right from your library. Contact QR codes gained two new fields, job title and website, and scanned contacts now open in the native contact form so you can review them before saving. Also in this update: Wi-Fi passwords are shown while you type, longer form fields grow as you write, scan history is easier to read, and several small issues around the unlock screen and export menu are fixed.

Simple QR now scans. Point the camera at any QR code or barcode and get a result you can copy, open, or turn back into a QR of your own. Scanning is free, with no subscription behind it, and your last 10 scans are kept automatically. There's a Pro unlock now too: a one-time purchase, not a subscription. It adds the Wi-Fi, contact, email, SMS, phone, location and Google review QR types, custom colors and a logo, unlimited saved codes, SVG export, the full scan history, and the Business Print Kit, which turns any QR into a card you can print for the counter or hand to a print shop. Two smaller free additions: a Recent row for the last 10 codes you made, and a fullscreen view at max brightness so a code scans from across the room. Everything that was free in the first version stays free, including generating codes, sharing as PNG, exporting to Photos, and saving up to 20 codes.
