Search My finds anything on your Mac the moment you start typing. It reads from a fast local index, so the first result appears almost as quickly as you can think of it. Everything stays on your Mac There is no server to send anything to, because there is no server at all. No accounts. No cloud. No telemetry. Search My never reads, stores, tracks, or shares your files, your searches, or your activity. It can't — and it never will. Find it your way Search inside Downloads, point it at any folder, or open it up to your whole drive. Filter by kind — documents, images, PDFs, audio, archives, code, and more — and match by name however you like. Look for what contains a word, starts with it, or matches it exactly. Open from anywhere Press Control–Option–S from any app and Search My appears, ready for input. Arrow through results, press Return to open, and it gets out of your way. You never have to reach for the mouse. Made for the Mac Native through and through, with the materials, vibrancy, and conventions you already know. Full Dark Mode, VoiceOver, Dynamic Type, Reduce Motion, and keyboard-only navigation are all supported. It runs in the App Sandbox and asks only for the access it needs — you decide which folders it can see, and you can change your mind at any time.
