The Earth App

Discover the World

Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.

Explore what's actually around you. Guided quests, curiosity trails, and questions worth answering. Sessions that end; no feed, nothing to scroll. The Earth App helps you step outside the everyday, try new things, and find a little novelty in your life. Pick the activities you love and the whole app shapes itself around you, with fresh questions, ideas, and challenges to explore every single day. HOW IT WORKS Pick what you love. Choose your interests (running, gardening, photography, cooking, reading, anything) and your feed, quests, and recommendations tailor themselves to you. Go on a quest. Every activity comes with hands-on, multi-step quests. Take a photo, record a voice note, walk a distance, scan a barcode, put steps in order, or answer a short quiz, then watch your progress build toward a satisfying finish. Follow a trail. Guided, single-sitting experiences that ask you to slow down, notice where you are, and reflect. Leave a trailmark behind for whoever comes next. Earn your way up. Complete steps to collect Impact Points and unlock badges. Master a badge to reveal a special bonus quest made just for it. Keep your streak alive. Journeys track your momentum across each activity, so staying active keeps the fire going. Tend a shared garden. Grow something together with the people you explore alongside. MOVE, AND GET CREDIT FOR IT Connect Apple Health to turn walks, runs, and workouts into Nature Minutes and quest progress. Start a quest and a Live Activity keeps your current step, your countdown, and your next action on the Lock Screen and Apple Watch. SOMETHING NEW EVERY DAY A fresh Word of the Day, new reflection prompts, quick polls, and new articles arrive on a regular schedule, so there is always something to read, think about, and respond to. CHALLENGE YOUR FRIENDS Add friends, climb the leaderboards, and challenge each other to quests. Compare Impact Points and see who goes furthest. NEW Activities now have their own tab. Browse the whole catalog, see which groups are doing something, and draw a surprise activity when you want a push rather than a choice. Expeditions per activity, so a shared goal has somewhere to live. Quests built from the activities you picked now appear in your quest list, under "From Your Activities". Previously the only way in was the activity's own page. Plan. Pick one cue and one response from a short menu and rehearse it once. That is the whole thing, and the app does not show it back to you afterwards. On This Day. Quests you finished and trail entries you wrote on this date in an earlier year. It renders nothing at all when there is nothing. Say One Thing, a new quest: four short exchanges with people already around you, spread across days. The steps talk about what you expect to happen, not about being brave. Trailmarks and nearby expeditions can be filtered by activity. Hosts can manage an event from the app now: see who is coming, edit it, cancel it, or delete it. CHANGED Journeys lead with your own record instead of your rank. A streak says "Your Longest Yet" and pays a bonus when it passes your previous best. Leaderboard rank is still there to look at, and is no longer the thing that earns points. The nature ring fills against your best week rather than a fixed weekly number. Badges are recognition, not payment. Unlocking one no longer awards impact points, so points come only from the things you actually did. Outdoor prompts are decided when they are sent rather than scheduled days ahead. They stay quiet while you are already out moving, and stop asking after two weeks with no minutes recorded. The notification bell shows a dot rather than a count. Events that have ended sink below the ones that have not. Price, renewal period and terms are shown in the purchase flow before you buy anything. FIXED Invite and sign-in links opened a browser instead of the app on Android 15. Password reset links were read as a sign-in return, which stored the wrong token and dropped you on the dashboard instead of the reset screen. The quest list could come back empty after switching tabs, and pull-to-refresh sometimes finished its spinner without having fetched anything. The active quest appeared a second time further down All Quests. Signing out left a cached copy of the previous account's identity behind. An unavailable plan could show a raw product identifier. An empty purchase catalog now explains itself instead of looking like a plan with no price. The app says so when it cannot reach the backend, rather than sitting on a blank screen. The first-launch tour no longer opens on top of the connection screen and hides its buttons. Screen-reader labels on the dashboard, the notification bell and the journey tiles. The scroll cue no longer sits on top of the content at the bottom of a page.
