Monitor the services your team depends on: GitHub, AWS, Slack, and more - right from your menu bar. Custom JavaScript checks let you configure and monitor anything.
Outpost Beacon lives in your menu bar and keeps you informed about the health of the services you depend on. At a glance, the menu bar icon tells you if everything is operational or if something needs attention.
Click to open the status dashboard - a floating panel showing every monitored service with color-coded health indicators, response times, and component-level detail. Drill into any service to see active incidents, recent updates, and individual component status. Group related services into collapsible sections, see when a service is at risk because a dependency is down, and resize the panel to fit your setup. Mute a service during planned maintenance, re-check any service on demand, or copy a plain-text status summary to paste into Slack or a ticket.

Outpost Beacon to the rescue
genbushi
This is an excellent, simple to the point monitoring app. Useful for quick view and quick notifications of monitored services. I like that it has the ability to customize the alerts for anything you may require. For systems administrators keeping an eye on various services these days, does the job without a ton of useless features and stuff getting in the way. Well done.
Monitoring now resumes reliably after your Mac wakes from sleep. Previously,
following an overnight sleep, status checks could stay paused until you
restarted Outpost Beacon. Manually refreshing or checking a single service
now resumes monitoring as well.
Clearing monitoring history now updates the reported data size immediately,
instead of continuing to show the previous size until the next launch.
