iPhone
The travel guide that tells you to skip the Eiffel Tower.
Appricio reads the moment (where you are, the hour, the weather, what you love) and hands you the few places a local would actually choose. Not fifty options. No sponsored placements. No padded directories. One strong recommendation, why it's the one, and what to do instead if you've seen it already.
Where Appricio works today
Appricio covers 50 deeply curated cities: San Francisco, New York, London, Paris, Barcelona, Rome, Munich, Hamburg, Florence, Dublin, Tokyo, Kyoto, Osaka, Seoul, Bangkok, Sydney, Mexico City, Rio and more. Every one of them free, in full. Standing in a covered city, Appricio reads the moment (time, weather, what's near you) and hands you the pick. From anywhere else, browse any Appricio city, plan trips, and find hotels.

Right Now
Open the app on a sunny Tuesday morning in Munich and you get a pancake spot worth the walk, not "top 50 cafes in Munich." Open it at 11pm in Barcelona and you get the bar that's actually good tonight, not the most-reviewed one from 2019.
Walks
Open the app where you stand and it lays out the day: coffee, the sights, lunch, the light, dinner, a last drink, in an order that makes sense on foot, with the way between them on the map. It knows the hour, the weather and what is closed. Start it and it walks with you. Where the sights are a drive apart, it is a tour by car on real driving times. Where the city is made for it, a day by bike along its signature ride, with the bikes at the start and the way back at the end. Today's walk where you stand is free; the other days of the place are Plus.
Events
The big stuff that defines a city: Oktoberfest, Sant Jordi, the NYC Marathon, Wimbledon, cherry blossom season in Tokyo. Chosen for what actually matters, with editorial that tells you why, plus the practical bits (where to stand, when to arrive, what to skip).
The Magazine
One short, opinionated article a month about your city: the first 24 hours, where the city eats lunch, the museums worth your time, the bars that are not for tourists, weekend getaways, this season as it happens. Every place named is a live Appricio venue: tap it, save the article, share it, or plan the trip from it. Free to read, in all 50 cities.
Arrival alerts
Arrive in Munich during Oktoberfest and Appricio tells you, even with the app closed: "You're in Munich. Oktoberfest is on." It checks on your phone against its own list of major events, at most once a day, and never sends or stores where you are.
Trips
Tell Appricio where and when, and it shapes recommendations to your dates and the arc of the trip: softer hits on day one, deeper cuts by day four. Browse the city by lane while you plan: eat, cafe, see, experiences, shop, nightlife. Plan it day by day, and find where to stay with hand-picked hotels chosen for fit, not commission.
Plan any moment
The context bar is yours to move. Tap the time to see this morning, lunch, the afternoon or tonight, with the forecast for that hour. Tap the place to plan the next town over, or a city you are flying to. One tap on Now brings you back to where you stand.

What makes Appricio different
- One opinionated pick, not a sea of options
- Real local knowledge in the editorial, not generic copy
- Authenticity-scored (we know the difference between a tourist trap and the place locals actually go)
- Skips icons gracefully when you're not into landmarks
- No ads, no sponsored content, no paid placements
What Appricio is not
- A reviews aggregator (Yelp does that)
- A directory you scroll forever
- A feed of sponsored placements (we never rank by commission)
- A social network
Appricio is what to do, where you are, right now, and a real plan when you travel.

Palo Alto, San Jose and the whole Peninsula are in: Stanford, University Avenue, Mountain View, Redwood City, San Mateo, downtown San Jose, Los Gatos, Saratoga and Cupertino, with walks, arrival alerts and the events of the season. Cities added after an update are now plannable right away. Readers near an airport see the town they are in, not only the big city the airport serves. In a town with good tables of its own, lunch and dinner stay local. Small fixes.
