The Tartan
Elevate your golf tournaments

Every good tournament runs on order: a clean field, a fair format, a leaderboard the whole field trusts. The Tartan holds it together — from the first group off the tee to the last card signed — whether you're running a weekend match or a multi-round event.
Play moves, and the app keeps pace. Scores are posted hole by hole, the leaderboard settles the moment each one lands, and players follow the standings in real time — on the course or in the clubhouse. No loose scorecards. No guessing at the turn. No reconciling figures after the round. Only the golf.
THE TOURNAMENT ROUND, ELEVATED
• Live scoring that posts to the leaderboard the instant a hole is entered
• Standings the whole field can follow in real time, from anywhere on the course
• Groups, pairings, and tee times organized so the day runs on schedule
• Notifications for tee times and leaderboard changes, so no one misses a moment
• Friendly games and side competitions tracked alongside the main event
• Clear, simple settle-up once the final card is in
BUILT FOR THE WAY YOU PLAY
Set up a tournament in minutes — build the field, set the format, and let The Tartan carry the round. One match or a full season of events, the experience holds: organized, accurate, and quietly out of your way so the focus stays on the golf.
A round well run is a better round. The Tartan is built to give you that, every time out.

more • Choosing who you paid or who you're betting with no longer shows an empty list on a slow connection — the players fill in as soon as they load, and a failed load says so with Try again.

Wrapping up the outing:
• Results on Home: the Champion, the Ryder Cup winner and the Bow Tie, once they're decided.
• Wrap up for organizers: what's left to settle or finalize, one tap each, with an alert when something is ready.
• Programme of play shows where every tee time stands — Thru 14, To confirm, Disputed, Final.
• Confirm prompts name the match you're confirming.
• A match card opened from Home opens right there, with its group switcher in full view.
• The Ryder Cup header highlights the winning team once the Cup is clinched.
• A pool past its betting deadline goes straight to declaring the winner.
1.7.4 Oct 13
Ryder Cup and bracket improvements for the outing:
• Confirm or dispute a result right from the match card — where the notification takes you.
• One scorekeeper can keep both singles matches in a group and switch between the cards with a tap.
• Tapping any score cell on a card works first time; confirming a bracket result is a clear button.
• The Ryder Cup list shows what needs you first, then live matches; finished ones fold away.
• Your cards: Profile now lists every card you're on — Short Course, Bow Tie, each bracket and Ryder match — finished ones included, in playing order.
• Saturday's matches are set in one place — each captain's roster order. It opens on the order you sent, can be changed until the other captain sends theirs, and tells you what happened when you send it.
• The organizer can change a lineup for any session from the admin screen.
• A finished match names its winner, and the result button appears the moment the deciding hole is in.
• Confirm or dispute a match from the top of the card — or confirm several results at once.
• Scorekeepers can take a sent result back to fix a hole before it's confirmed.
• The draft shows who's on the clock; the last pick fills itself.
1.7.3 Oct 11
Rained out? The organizer can seed the Tartan on the holes everyone played.
A match all square after 18 has its playoff on the card: chip-off in the morning, the 1st tee in the afternoon.
Skins stay hidden until the pot settles while the Bow Tie leaderboard is off.
The group keeper's card says when a hole didn't save, and sending a card names everyone still short.
The Ryder Cup match card refreshes itself under its live connection.
Reliability fixes for the organizer's seeding, finishing a card, and the roster.
1.7.1 Oct 7
Side bets
• "Open wagers" are now side bets.
• Every side bet carries an accept-by time. A proposal nobody answers in time expires on its own.
• A side bet's detail reads as a short history: proposed, accepted, settled or expired, with who won.
• Accept and Decline are clear buttons.
• Organizers can sort the side-bet list and open any bet's detail.
Scoring
• A scorekeeper's number pad stays on screen while they enter a card.
• Entering a whole card quickly no longer leaves holes stuck "sending".
Around the event
• Tapping a notification opens the entry it's about.
• The dashboard refreshes when you come back to it, so a confirmed group no longer shows "waiting".
• Bow Tie pools keep the standings private until the pool is settled.
• Fixes: the Sheet's Mine/All tabs no longer flicker, a closed pool no longer reads "Open", and moving a day across a daylight-saving change keeps the right date.
1.7.0 Oct 3
A tee time whose day has passed with no scores entered now says so, instead of "Done". "Done" means your group's cards are with the organizer.
Short Course skins results now come to everyone on the Short Course tee sheet, by name, and open the Short Course.
Once every Short Course card is in, the Programme marks it Complete and your Short Course tile says so — or how many cards are still out.
Organizers: "Select all" on Scorecards only appears when there are sent cards to verify.
1.6.37 Sep 29
A new dashboard: your money up top, then your own tee times as tiles — the day, the time, who's keeping the card and how far along it is — with the Programme, pools, bracket and Ryder Cup below.
A card still to finish from an earlier day stays at the front, and if the organizer flags your Bow Tie card, the dashboard says so.
Organizers: every tee sheet in one place — Tee sheets in the admin console lists the rounds, the Bow Tie and each match session by day, and opens each one.
1.6.35 Sep 27
Betting sheets show each player's handicap next to their name.
A cleaner scorekeeper card: one type size, scores marked against par like a real scorecard (circles under, squares over), and a pad that shows where each number sits against par.
Organizers: your own buy-in and winnings are spelled out on your own Net by player, so the total always adds up.
Cards finish themselves: once everyone in your group confirms, the cards are final and the organizer is told — if someone spots a mistake, only they are asked again after the fix.
The scorekeeper's "Send to everyone to confirm" appears as soon as the last score is in.
Invitations first: an outing you've been invited to is asked the moment you open the app — accept, decline, or come back to it later.
When someone has been asked to keep your group's card, the card says so, and you can still keep it yourself.
The Bow Tie skins pot follows the Bow Tie tee sheet, and the Skins tab opens on your Short Course.
Sending a sheet entry or a side bet only offers people in the field.
Organizers: a settled skins pot can be corrected in one step — every card is kept.
1.6.34 Sep 26
Your dashboard leads with the group you're playing now, and every other group on your schedule is its own card that opens straight to its scores.
Confirm your card: everyone in the group sees who has confirmed and who is still pending, and a signed card is final.
Net to par on the card when strokes fall, and a skins board for each pot — the Bow Tie and the Short Course.
The Short Course card reads like the Bow Tie's.
A player who misses the Bow Tie can still play the bracket: the organizer places his seed, and he comes off the Bow Tie's skins and pools. Any bets on him are refunded, the odds move, and the bettors are told.
An invitation shows as pending until you accept it, and the Profile tab shows when you have unread notices.
Organizers: Scorecards one round at a time, and "cards ready to verify" opens straight to them. Activating the event opens the pools.
A score entered with no signal is never dropped over a hiccup on the way back.
1.6.29 Sep 25
The tee sheet fills itself from results: as a match is called, the winner lands in the slot the organizer laid out, before the next round is drawn.
A 3rd place match on the final Saturday, and singles two to a group.
The Ryder Cup by the Tartan's rules: captains are the two best-seeded round-one losers, first pick alternates by round, and every match is scored by holes.
The last score on a Ryder card saves the moment you tap Done, move on, or put the phone away.
Force settle the skins pot once every hole is in; a lineup that has started can't be changed.
1.6.20 Sep 23
The Hall of Fame: past champions and Bow Tie winners — the hole and the strokes — for the whole field, right from the outing.
Score as a group: the tee sheet is the door, one keeper enters the group's card, everyone confirms, the organizer signs.
The Programme of Play for every player, session by session.
The Ryder Cup scored by holes, match play as it is played.
Rooms on the roster, contact cards for the field, and the organizer named on the home.

Settling up now taps you on the shoulder. When someone records paying you, you're told — confirm or dispute it right from the notification. Confirmations, disputes, and the organizer's rulings reach everyone whose money moved.
Built for dead zones. Your scorecard survives losing signal: the card stays on screen, scores you enter are saved and sync the moment bars return, and opening the app with no service no longer signs you out.
A clearer settle-up screen. Pending settlements are grouped by who's holding things up — awaiting you, awaiting them — instead of a bare "pending."
For organizers: a "Get this event running" checklist walks setup in order — roster, programme, tee sheet, pools — with the tee sheet no longer buried in schedule settings. The roster now tells "not invited yet" apart from "waiting on an answer." Removing a group with players in it asks first.
1.5.1 Aug 19
Scoring without signal
Scores you enter out of range are saved on your phone and sent the moment
you're back in coverage — round cards, bracket matches and Ryder Cup holes
alike. Your card won't let you sign until every hole has landed.
Open any transaction on The Sheet
Tap a line to see the whole story: who owes whom, who entered it, when it
was confirmed, and whether an organizer amended it afterwards.
Money you can read at a glance
One row per person, with a plain sentence explaining the number beside it.
"Net by player" is easier to find, and opens every transaction between you
and one other player.
Games that settle
An organizer can record a hole decision nobody tapped in time — clearly
marked as recorded after the hole. Decisions can no longer be double-counted
if your connection drops mid-tap.
Plus a pass over dates, tee sheets, group selection and the wagers tile.
1.5.0 Aug 17
• Fresh installs now start at a proper front door: sign in, or create an account — no more waiting on a code that was never coming.
• Wolf Hammer (KMAC) scoring rewritten to the house rules: the cards decide the hole, accepted hammers double it (1→2→4), junk nets between the sides, and the declaration multiplier applies to everything, win or lose. Every hole balances to zero — five players included.
• The app draws the driving order at random when a game opens, and shows it on every hole — the Wolf hits first.
• New payout option at game creation: price every dot, or play flat — "Most dots wins" takes one wager from everyone.
• Tap ⓘ next to Dots for the full junk glossary, with what each is worth.
• "Who recorded what" — every game keeps its own log of picks, dots, and hammers, including voided entries.
• Enter scores without leaving the game: the round card slides up right over the Competition screen.
• Organizers: a setup checklist walks the event from created to live, and new games can open for scoring the moment they're created.
1.4.0 Aug 7
• Wolf Hammer (KMAC) is fully playable, dots and all, including the lone-Wolf declaration that sets the multiplier.
• Tapped the wrong name or the wrong dot? The organizer can take a recorded decision back and enter the right one — nothing gets stuck.
• A brand-new organizer account now sees a clear "pending approval" note instead of an empty console.
• Open an invitation and the app tells you exactly what happened: you're in, or here's why it couldn't be accepted.
• Fixed a dark-mode display issue and smoothed a number of smaller edges.
• Tap anyone in your ledger to see every transaction behind the number.
• Add courses in seconds — search, pick your tee, done.
• Cleaner Profile, searchable rules, settable KMAC dot cap, and fixes.

Master Ledger
- What you're owed and what you owe, across every event — not just the one you're looking at.
Your handicap
- Set it once in Profile and it carries into every event you join. An organizer can still set a different number for their own event.
Invitations
- They arrive in the app now, not just by email. Accept, decline, or leave an event you haven't played in.
1.2.1 Aug 3
- Added Golf Trip and Day Outing options for new Events
- Added multiple Game formats
- Performance improvements and bug fixes
