Every pitch in Borderline is a real called pitch from a real MLB game. You see the ball fly in from the pitcher's perspective, and you have to call it: ball or strike. Then the rulebook strike zone appears, and you find out exactly where it landed — and whether the umpire behind the plate got it right.
REAL MLB DATA
Every pitch comes from Baseball Savant's Statcast database. Real coordinates, real spin rates, real umpires — no simulations. If Laz Diaz blew a call, you'll see exactly why.
THE ABS STRIKE ZONE
Borderline uses MLB's Automated Ball-Strike system rules. If any part of the ball touches the rulebook zone, it's a strike — the same standard used in official ABS challenges. The batter's zone height adjusts dynamically per player.
