SoundStream Remote controls a Mac running SoundStream (version 1.1 or later) over your local Wi-Fi network. Your iPhone and Mac connect directly — no account, no cloud, no servers.

Play, pause, skip, and adjust the volume. Run routines, save and resume bookmarks, and see what's playing — track, playback position, and album artwork — right on your iPhone.
LIVE INTERNET RADIO
When your Mac plays an internet radio station, SoundStream Remote shows a "Live" indicator and the current song (when the station broadcasts it). Browse your stations with a clear radio icon. Requires My SoundStream 1.3 or later on your Mac.

Designed for VoiceOver from the first launch. Pairing needs no codes, QR scans, or typing — your iPhone discovers the Mac, you approve it once in a dialog on the Mac, and you're connected. Every control speaks. Nothing fails silently.

No account. No analytics. No cloud. The connection stays on your local network, and your audio never leaves your Mac.
PREMIUM FEATURES
SoundStream Remote is free. Routines, Bookmarks, Sleep Timer, and Playback Speed are unlocked by a one-time Premium purchase made in the Mac app — no subscription, ever. If a feature isn't unlocked, SoundStream Remote tells you out loud instead of failing silently.

SoundStream is built by an independent developer who runs a popular voice-first audio skill for visually impaired users on smart speakers. The Mac app removes the cloud-storage barrier that limited the earlier version, letting you keep unlimited audio on your own drives. Voice control now extends to iPhone and HomePod through the free SoundStream Remote companion app.
