I’m so blown away by the practicality of this tiny app. I’ve had it for one day so far and I’ve been using it all day long, I jot down a lot of notes during the day and I find that having to constantly open, close, and reopen any traditional notes app throughout the day so tedious. Notchkin lets me type my thoughts down the instant something comes to my mind and then immediately moves out of my way without cluttering my workflow. And the editing experience is so delightful & it has so many useful keyboard shortcuts. But the only thing I truly hope the developer adds in the near future is RTL Language Support for editing notes in Arabic. This is my only issue with the app so far, and I really don’t want to have to split my notes between multiple notes apps just because this one lacks a very essential feature to me, which is RTL support.

This is the smartest use of the mac notch I have ever seen! love being able to just hover my mouse at the top of the screen to instantly jot down a quick thought or checklist without constantly switching windows.

This is so handy when I want to copy down a quick note or save a link. Notes on MacOS is just overkill and cluttered for that.
• Arabic, Hebrew, Persian and Urdu now run right to left.
• Can't be bothered with diacritics? Neither can I. Search "jalapeno" for "jalapeño," "munchen" for "München," or "creme brulee" for "crème brûlée."
• I open on the screen you're actually using, not whichever one has the notch.
• Your formatting survives the trip in and out. ⌘⇧V still pastes it plain.
• Back Up Notes is now Export All Notes.
• Redo works after undoing a delete or a pin.
