Qafiyat Al-Arab — the complete Arabic poetry library, to read, understand, and play.
Over 136,000 poems by nearly 2,900 poets in two separate collections: Fasih (classical) from the pre-Islamic era to today, and Nabati from the poets of Arabia and the Gulf. Every poem with or without tashkeel, every poet with a short biography and an imagined portrait.
POEM COMMENTARY
More than 7,800 poems explained line by line, each with the story behind it. This includes the entire pre-Islamic era, the diwans of Al-Mutanabbi, Ahmed Shawqi, Al-Farazdaq, and Jarir, and a growing number of Mukhadram and Nabati poets. An "explained" badge in the library points you to them.

Two more complete eras, fully explained
With this update, the Mukhadram era (poets who lived through both the pre-Islamic and Islamic periods) and the Early Islam era are now fully explained, poem by poem and verse by verse. That means every poem in the diwan from the pre-Islamic age through Early Islam now carries a historical background and a line-by-line explanation: three consecutive eras, with no gaps.
- Mukhadram poets: 3,163 poems by 139 poets, including Ali ibn Abi Talib, Amr ibn Ma'dikarib, Tamim ibn Muqbil, Ka'b ibn Malik, Amir ibn al-Tufayl, Humayd ibn Thawr, Ka'b ibn Zuhayr, Abdullah ibn Rawaha, and Mutammim ibn Nuwayra.
- Early Islam poets: 1,083 poems by 192 poets, including Hassan ibn Thabit, al-Khansa, Khalid ibn al-Walid, al-Zubayr ibn al-Awwam, and Fatima al-Zahra.
- The three poets of the Prophet, peace be upon him, are now complete: Hassan ibn Thabit, Ka'b ibn Malik, and Abdullah ibn Rawaha.
- Women poets of the era: al-Khansa, Safiyya bint Abd al-Muttalib, Hind bint Utba, Atika bint Zayd, and others.
By the numbers: over 10,300 explained poems, close to 100,000 explained verses, and 985 poets whose entire diwan is explained (255 of them new in this release).
The Umayyad era is next.
