Fixes Evie closing during voice conversations on some iPhones and iPads after updating to iOS 27.0.1. Still 100% offline and private — nothing your family says leaves the device. Thanks for using Evie!

Evie now runs on more iPhones and iPads. • More devices: Evie now works on iPhones and iPads with 4 GB of memory, including iPhone 11, iPhone 12, iPhone 13 and iPhone SE (3rd generation), plus iPad Air (4th generation) and iPad mini (6th generation). On these devices the one-time download is smaller, about 3 GB, and Evie takes a moment longer to start speaking. • Evie's voice pronounces more words correctly and sounds more natural. • The grown-up check now works at large text sizes. Still 100% offline and private — nothing your family says leaves the device. Thanks for using Evie!

Faster first-time setup, and more everyday questions answered in the Little and Kid profiles. • Setup: the one-time download now runs over several connections at once, so it finishes much sooner. Keep Evie open while it downloads for the fastest setup. The progress screen shows it working from the start, and the screen stays on until setup is done. • Little and Kid profiles: asked where babies come from, Evie now gives a short, simple explanation. Questions about growing up, or about why smoking and drinking are bad for you, now get a proper answer instead of "ask a grown-up". • Questions about medicine, sex, weapons, or trying alcohol, smoking or vaping still get a short answer that points to a trusted grown-up. • Evie's short ready-made replies and lesson feedback now appear word by word, like every other reply. Still 100% offline and private — nothing your family says leaves the device. Thanks for using Evie!

Clearer answers to sensitive questions in the Little and Kid profiles. • Questions about medicine, alcohol, smoking or vaping, sex, or weapons now get a short, clear answer that points to a trusted grown-up, instead of an explanation. • Body safety: a question about touch and privacy gets a clear rule — your body belongs to you, and tell a grown-up you trust. If someone says something like that has happened to them, Evie says it isn't their fault and to keep telling until someone helps. If they say someone is following them or trying to take them somewhere, Evie tells them to go to a grown-up they trust right away. • Parent alerts now catch more of the ways a young person might say they were touched, followed, lured, or hurt by someone at school. • Answers in Teen and Adult profiles are unchanged. Still 100% offline and private — nothing your family says leaves the device. Thanks for using Evie!

Read aloud, right where you need it. • "Read aloud" is now a button under each of Evie's replies instead of an item tucked inside a menu — one tap to hear an answer, tap again to stop. It dims while Evie is busy, so it's clear when it isn't available. • Fixed: after using Read aloud, asking a new question no longer pulls the chat back to the sentence it had reached. The new answer stays in view. • The age range each profile is set to is now always on screen, so you can tell at a glance which one Evie is answering as. • The way Evie is talking — Thinking, Science, Bedtime or Storyteller — now shows as a small badge on the mode button, so it's visible at any point in a chat, not only when it changes. • Starting a story now shows your own opening line in the chat, instead of Evie replying to a question that was never there. Still 100% offline and private — nothing your family says leaves the device. Thanks for using Evie!

Read aloud now follows along, sentence by sentence. • Tap "Read aloud" on any of Evie's replies and the sentence being spoken is highlighted and kept on screen, so it's easy to follow along — a real help for anyone still finding their way around a long answer. • Long replies stay where you can see them. A long answer could leave the chat parked past the end of the text — a blank screen you had to drag back — and that's fixed. • Scroll up to re-read while Evie is still speaking and the chat waits for you. It starts following again as soon as you scroll back to the bottom. • Earlier messages no longer blank out while you scroll during a reply. • Bold words now appear as the reply is written, instead of all arriving at the end. • Smoother while a long reply comes in — the transcript no longer redraws every earlier message on every word. Still 100% offline and private — nothing your family says leaves the device. Thanks for using Evie!

Back to school — six new lessons. • Six new lessons, and every track now has at least two. Four are about how AI actually works: is a homework helper helping you learn, where answers come from, why a confident answer can still be wrong, and what happens when you ask the same question twice. • The back-to-school one — "Homework Helper or Homework Doer?" — is free for everyone. • Two more finish off the other tracks: owning a mistake and putting it right, and thinking before you post. • Plainer names for the ways Evie talks: Thinking, Science and Bedtime. • Press and talk, right away — the microphone opens in a fraction of the time, so first words aren't clipped, the button now responds the instant you press it, and you can cut in while Evie is still speaking. • The orange recording dot now appears only while the microphone is held. Evie was never listening at other times; now your device shows that too. • A tap you can feel when you press to talk, plus new Haptics and Click sound switches in Parent mode. • Fresh artwork across the app, sharp at every size — and a different medal each time a lesson is finished. • Large text sizes are much better supported — every screen was swept, and the layouts that used to squeeze or cut off are fixed. • First-time setup now tells you the size of Evie's one-time download before it starts. Still 100% offline and private — nothing your family says leaves the device. Thanks for using Evie!

Evie comes to iPad! • Native iPad support — the same private, fully on-device Evie, now on the big screen. Larger windows add a side-by-side view: your conversation history in a panel next to the chat. Needs an iPad with at least 6 GB of memory — M-series iPads and iPad mini (A17 Pro). • A spoken daily hello — Evie greets each profile by name, once per morning, afternoon, and evening. Turn it off any time in Personalisation. • Replies get to the point — less "Hello there!" filler at the start of answers. • Better parent alerts — the on-device safety monitor now recognizes more phrasings of fear and bullying. Still 100% offline and private — nothing your family says leaves the device. Thanks for using Evie!

This update makes Evie smoother and faster from the very first launch. • Faster setup and quicker first-time download — Evie is ready to talk sooner. • Give each profile its own look with a friendly new set of avatars, in Personalisation. • A warmer welcome with a gentle first hello and helpful tips while Evie gets ready. • More reliable conversations — Evie recovers gracefully instead of getting stuck mid-thought. • Behind-the-scenes safety improvements for parents. Still 100% offline and private — nothing your family says leaves the phone. Thanks for using Evie!

Say hello to Lessons — a guided learning program that helps children build real thinking skills, not just get answers. Four tracks (Independent Thinking, AI Cognition, Emotion & Responsibility, and Child Entrepreneur), each with a companion guide for parents. The first lesson in every track is free. We also gave Evie a brighter, friendlier new look: a cleaner chat screen, a "Read aloud" button to replay any answer, smoother scrolling, and a gentle weather backdrop on the home screen. Still 100% offline and private — nothing your family says leaves the phone. Thanks for using Evie!

• Export your conversations — Save any chat as a PDF or Markdown file to keep, print, or share. Find it under Parent settings → Your data, or swipe on any conversation in History. (Pro) • Easier reporting & feedback — A clearer, unified way to report a response or send us feedback, so you can flag anything that doesn't look right. • Smarter safety alerts — Improved on-device detection and more accurate parent alert badges, so nothing important slips by. As always, everything runs fully on-device. No account, no internet, no data leaves your iPhone.

• Clearer chat history — the text view now shows which learning mode each part of a conversation used, with timestamps, so you can follow along at a glance. • Smarter safety alerts — improved on-device detection of concerning messages, plus a new app-icon badge that flags when there's a new item in the parent alerts inbox. • Reliability improvements for longer replies. As always, everything runs fully on your device — no account, no internet, nothing leaves the phone.

Refreshed our App Store listing — Evie's name now leads with what makes it different: it's fully offline. The app itself is unchanged in this update, still 100% on-device and private. Thanks for trying Evie!
