more Stats has its own tab.
- Your rest curve, sweet spot and dial-in numbers are one tap away from anywhere in the app, instead of tucked inside Profile.
- The tab bar is reordered: Home, Beans, Log, Stats, Profile, with Log in the middle.
- Some UX fixed.

feat(reflection): add body as a fourth taste dimension
- Adds a Body slider to the log form and surfaces it on brew detail, shared recipes, comparison and the Stats radar, alongside acidity, sweetness and bitterness.
- Body is only persisted once the slider is actually moved, so the brews logged before the column existed keep a null rather than being stamped with the slider's resting 1 and skewing the average.
- Drops unrated dimensions from the balance radar instead of plotting them at zero, which read as "none of this" rather than "never rated"; the radar now renders only at three or more axes.
- Covers the hand-written CodingKeys on ReflectionInsertRow with tests, since a field missing from it is dropped silently on write.
- Bumps marketing version to 2.2.

- Added: brew timer in the Pours section — tap to log each pour's time, Stop fills the total brew time (writes the existing pour fields, so brews logged this way read back normally on the web app)
- Changed: bean rest period now allows up to 140 days
- Fixed: marking a bag finished no longer turns on "Show finished"

Share a recipe
- Share any brew as a link anyone can open, with or without the app.
- The page shows your variables, your pours, and how it tasted — dose, grind,
temperature, time, the bean, and your flavour notes.
- Open a link with BrewLog installed and it opens in the app instead of the
browser. "Brew this now" starts a log from someone else's recipe.
- Shared Links in Profile lists every link you've made, with views, brews and
saves for each one.
- Turn a link off whenever you like — it stops working for everyone, and the
page says so rather than breaking.
- Free: 5 shares a month, resetting on the 1st. Pro: unlimited.
Connect to AI (Pro)
- Connect Claude or ChatGPT to your own log and ask it the things no screen
answers: why your last three brews were flat, or what changed between your
best and worst Ethiopian.
- It reads your brews, beans, reflections and flavour notes, and works out the
same numbers the Stats screen shows.
- It can log a brew or add a bean bag when you ask — including reading a new
bag from a photo, with the roastery, process, roast date and how long to
rest it.
- It can never edit or delete anything already in your log. It can only add.
- Anything an assistant adds is marked MCP, so you can always tell it apart
from what you wrote yourself.
- You approve each connection in the app before an assistant can read anything,
and you can disconnect it at any time.
Worth knowing: most assistants only offer connectors on their own paid plans.
Free ChatGPT, Gemini and Google's AI mode can't connect to BrewLog.

You can now share any brew as a link. Send it to anyone — they can open it and see the whole recipe without signing up or installing
anything.
If they do have BrewLog, the link opens straight in the app. From there they can save the recipe to their own brews, or start brewing it right away with everything already filled in.
Your links live in Profile → Shared Links. You can see how many people opened each one and how many brewed it, and you can delete a
link whenever you like — once it's deleted, nobody can open it again.
Also in this update
- The Beans page now shows how many bags you have, and how many are still resting.

Log a brew for any day
- The log form now has a date field, set to today
- Pick an earlier date for a brew you're writing up later
- Fix a wrong date any time by editing the brew
- Future dates can't be selected
- Repeating a brew always logs as today
Your log now tells you something
- One line under your name on Home — your average score, your best cup, the ratio your best brews land on
- It changes each time you come back
- Tap it for the full list on Stats, under "What your log says"
- Free: four observations. Pro: adds flavour notes, process, varietal and rest window
Filter your beans (Pro)
- Filter by roaster, producer, process, varietal, month added, or running low
- Picking something that only exists on a finished bag shows your finished bags automatically
Mark a bag finished from the list
- Long-press any bean bag and choose "Mark as finished" — no need to open it for editing
- The bag stays in your list so past brews keep their bean name
- Same menu reopens it
Smaller things
- New pour style: Shower, for Melodrip and Rain dripper
- Dates follow your region — "Aug 2" in the US, "2 Aug" elsewhere
- Fixed: web showed brew dates one day early outside Europe and Asia

1. Compare Brews
- Put two brews side by side and see exactly what changed to perfect your cup.
- Compare From Anywhere: Open any brew and tap Compare (via the ⋯ menu on iOS or ⊟ icon on web) to select your second brew.
- Quick Select: Tap Compare above your list, pick exactly two brews, and go! You can also long-press (or right-click on web) any card to trigger the same action.
- Spot the Differences: We've broken comparisons down into three sections—Bean, Recipe, and Outcome. Differences are color-tinted, while identical values fade back so your eyes go instantly to what changed.
- Smart Tracking: Missing fields show as a "—" (counting as a difference), and free-text notes sit cleanly side-by-side. We’ll even alert you if you’re comparing two different beans, so you don't mistake a bean trait for a recipe tweak.
2. Favourites
- Never lose track of your best cups. Mark the brews and bags that mattered most.
- Show Some Love: Tap the Heart on any brew’s detail screen or bean bag edit screen. You can also long-press (or right-click on web) any card to quickly Favorite it.
- Filter Instantly: Favourited items get a small heart on their card. Tap the heart icon above your brews or in the Beans header to view only your top picks.
1.5 Aug 4
- Insights (Pro) — five new views drawn from your own brews: your
sweet spot, how your beans rate as they rest, which settings you
score highest, how processes and roasteries compare, and the
flavours you find most often.
- Stats by time range (Pro) — the last 3 months, 6 months, a year,
or everything.
- Mark a bag finished — it moves out of the way, keeps its history,
and stops reminding you it's running low.
- Fixes — Renaming a bean bag now
updates brews you've already logged.
