Vorino 2.2 – gets to know you, finds more, plans better: • Vorino learns your taste: a small model on your device learns from what you view, cook, favorite and plan. New: getting-to-know-you cards at the start (later also in Settings) and “Not for me” with a thumbs-down in the recipe. Nothing is sent to us. With Pro, Vorino sorts search and the meal plan by your preferences and shows why a recipe is suggested. • Collections: save recipes with the bookmark and organize them into your own collections. • Better search: recipe names are found word by word, even with typos and related terms (such as “mince” and “minced meat”). Search is faster right from launch, and “Only what I have” matches more precisely. New: the filters “Dish type” and “Nutrition” (estimated from ingredient amounts) and a setting for which meal search starts with. • 115 new quick snacks, most of them ready in 10 minutes. • Shopping list (Pro): suggestions follow your shopping rhythm, ask “Still there?” for older pantry items and show what you’re missing for your meal plan. Open items and an estimated total are at the top; sections can be collapsed and ordered the way you walk through your store. • Meal plan: proper main meals, more variety, a preview before swapping a day, and several meals can be selected. Leftover days are clearly marked, and the cooking day already shops for both days. • Pantry: if the best-before date is missing, Vorino estimates it and marks it with “≈”; your own date always takes priority. The barcode scanner restarts after interruptions, and receipts are recognized more accurately. • Also: “Finished cooking” deducts the ingredients from your pantry; with the “Vegan” diet, dairy ingredients show a vegan alternative; countable ingredients are rounded to whole pieces when scaling; “Export data” now backs up everything; more texts in English. Vorino can now add and correct recipes without an app update. • Still for Vorino Pro (beta): Pantry from a Photo. Snap a shelf or your fridge, review the suggested list and add what’s right. Vorino 2.1 – our biggest content update yet: • All-new recipes: 1,600 instead of the previous 598, every one illustrated. Uncooked meal plan days with old recipes are cleared – just plan again. What the app learned from the old recipes is dropped; your choices from the first launch stay. • Recipes now in English, too (automatically translated): with the app in English, recipe titles, ingredients and steps appear in English, and search understands English terms. Many more screens translated as well. • Two prices per recipe: “To buy” (what you need, in whole packs, minus your pantry) and “total” (value of the amounts used). • Real store prices from Open Prices where available, otherwise reference prices and estimates. • Unknown ingredients are assigned to a product group by a small model right on your device when it is confident – for better price estimates, even without Apple Intelligence. • More accurate drinks: cola, soft drinks and energy drinks with the deposit included in the price; beer, wine & sparkling wine and spirits get their own reference prices. • Ingredients by importance: recipes show what is essential, what is recommended and what you usually have on hand. Search moves what you can cook further up. • New search filters: “Only what I have”, a price limit for what you need to buy, preparation time, cuisine and “Meal” (breakfast to snack); recipes now also show a short description. • Basics: tick off salt, oil, flour and co. once – in My Kitchen and on first launch. • Ingredient substitutes: basmati counts as rice, crème fraîche can stand in for cream – so your pantry matches more recipes. • Scale portions: change the number of people and quantities and prices recalculate. • Shopping list (Pro): grouped by store section, with a price for every item and a running total. Each item shows which recipes it is for (“for chili, lasagne”). Identical items are added up, some fruit and vegetables can also be bought loose. Set your own price anytime. Plus export to a list of your choice in Apple Reminders and a trash that keeps deleted items recoverable for 30 days. • New in My Kitchen (Pro): the Shopping List tab shows the recipes you are shopping for – under “Still to buy” and “Bought”. “Remove from shopping list” takes out only that recipe’s share of shared ingredients. • Restock (Pro): items you delete from the list without buying them are not added straight back – only once you buy the item or resume the rule, at the latest after 30 days. • Also with Pro: pick a favorite chain under “Stores & flyers” and its prices are preferred where known. If Vorino doesn’t know an ingredient, map it to a base ingredient once when adding it to the shopping list – with suggestions, on device; your choice is remembered. • New for Vorino Pro (beta): Pantry from a Photo. The budget now covers the whole household. • Share recipes – as a link only or with the recipe; the link opens the app right at the recipe. • Batch scanning: scan many barcodes in a row without stopping. • Multiple cooking timers at once – pasta and sauce in parallel. • Long preparation times are easier to read (“2 days 2 hr” instead of “3030 min”). • Submit your own recipes and request recipes – right from the app. • New in Settings: see what the app has learned about your taste, and delete individual entries. • Favorites now persist reliably – after a restart and across your devices. • Removed: gluten-free and low-carb filters and calorie figures – the data behind them was not reliable. • Many smaller improvements and fixes. This update improves recipe search and the weekly planner: • Recipe suggestions now work reliably – matching recipes show up even without a budget set. • When there are few matches, similar recipes are added instead of showing an empty list. • The weekly planner now fills every day even with a small recipe selection. • Dishes like "pancakes" are no longer mistakenly treated as desserts. • Minor bug fixes and improvements.
