SeeUniverse
Pocket cosmos—NASA·Mars·worlds
$0.99 · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
Built on NASA's latest data—wallpaper-grade daily cosmos, fresh Mars rover photos, and synthesized views for thousands of known worlds. The universe, in your pocket.
Do you often look up at the night sky and imagine how vast the universe is? I do—all the time.
Our world is changing at breathtaking speed; the age keeps rolling forward. Yet from the cosmos’ point of view, everything is so small—a million years is but a blink; distances of millions of miles feel like a step away.
Still, as tiny as we are, humanity has long since begun its journey into space. We walked on the Moon; telescopes have charted 6,291 planets; Mars rovers never stop beaming photos back to Earth. Now I have brought them together in this app—to see the universe, the unknown, and the infinite.
Daily Universe — from NASA, with translations and built-in explanations, updated every day
Mars Archive — every photo Mars rovers have sent to Earth, in high resolution, browsable by date
Moon — today's phase, illumination, moonrise and moonset, plus upcoming major lunar phases
Planet Library — all known exoplanets, multi-dimensional official data, plus predictive images generated from planetary data
If you are curious about the cosmos, come and See Universe.
