Files nobody else could close end up on your desk. Some went cold years ago. Some are unfolding right now, with the clock still running. You close them the way a real investigator would: by talking to people who hide the truth — and proving what they hid.
INTERROGATE SUSPECTS WHO LIE
No dialogue trees. No scripts. Ask any question you want — every suspect answers in their own words, with their own secrets. They dodge. They deflect. They contradict themselves. Push the right way and a story starts to crack; push wrong and a witness shuts down. No two interrogations ever play out the same.
THE EVIDENCE BOARD
You investigate — the board keeps score. Every clue you uncover is pinned up automatically: photos, statements and forensic reports, tied together with red string. Some evidence arrives with no name on it — it hangs under a "?" until you prove who it belongs to. One glance at the board and you see the whole case: what you know, and what's still missing.
FOLLOW THE EVIDENCE
You don't guess — you prove it. Examine the crime scene and tap the details everyone else missed. Study the forensic reports. Watch recovered footage, zoom into photos, and listen to voice memos that say more than the caller intended.
WORK WITH YOUR TEAM
You're not alone. Your captain hands you the file, a forensic examiner re-opens the body, and your tech specialist pulls records nobody was supposed to find. Bring them what you discover — and bring the right question to the right person.
CLOSE THE FILE
When you're ready, make your accusation — and back it with evidence, or the captain sends the file straight back to the shelf. Name who did it, prove how, and the case is closed. Every closed file builds your reputation: from Rookie all the way to Legend.
