Sharper, safer, and easier to read. • Speed-camera alerts now stay off until RoadBook has confirmed which country you are actually in. If the lookup cannot complete — a tunnel, no signal at the start of a drive — no camera pins and no spoken alerts appear until it does, so the rules of the country you are driving in are always the ones that apply. • Driving Mode's controls now fit properly on every screen size, including the smallest devices and at larger text sizes, instead of running off the edge. • Your drive photos behave the way you would expect: a photo you delete stays deleted, photos added on one device now actually arrive on the others, and deleting a drive removes its photos with it instead of leaving them taking up space forever. • Much better contrast on the alerts and map pins you read while driving, and RoadBook now works properly with VoiceOver on the map, the plan picker and the drive list. • Parking meter availability no longer relies on colour alone. Nothing has moved and nothing has been taken away. Every drive, road trip, photo and trophy is exactly where you left it.

A new name for the same app. RoadBook started as a drive log and is still the most thorough one we know how to build — but what people keep coming back for is the record itself: the road trip, the photos, the map of everywhere they have driven, and where they stand on the boards. The name now says that. Nothing has moved and nothing has been taken away. Every drive, road trip, photo and trophy is exactly where you left it, your subscription is unchanged, and the mileage and tax reports work as they always have.

Your year, and the trophies you didn't know you'd won. • Year in review — your driving year on one screen: distance, days driven, your longest drive, your best month and the countries you reached, with a card to share. • Trophies are announced when you earn them, instead of waiting silently in a case you had to go looking for. • RoadBook Pro members now carry a badge on the public leaderboards. • All six rankings are reachable straight from the Leaderboard tab, and any drive can be shared straight from the Trips list. • The annual plan is shown first, and a free trial is only offered when your account can actually start one.

Your drives are now something to keep, not just something to file. • Road trips — group a journey's drives into one record, with the whole route on one map however many days it took. • Name a drive, and add photos to it. Fixes for issues reported after the last update. • Saving a drive now always shows its progress. The indicator could be missed entirely on your very first drive, and could disappear too early when drives sync through iCloud — which made a trip that was saving correctly look like it had been lost. • Leaderboard group invites are more reliable, and joining a group you were invited to no longer fails in certain cases. • A new personal best is only announced when it really is faster than your previous best. • Improved crash diagnostics, so problems reported from your device are easier to trace and fix. SAVING YOUR DRIVE IS NOW VISIBLE Finish a drive and the Trips tab tells you it's being saved, right where you'd look for it. A long drive on a big library takes a moment to store, and until now nothing said so — which made a perfectly safe drive look like a lost one. The notice clears the instant the drive appears. HAZARD REPORTS STAY VISIBLE IN BUSY AREAS Driving Mode now asks for only the reports that can still be live, newest first. In places where lots of reports have built up over time, the map was gradually running out of room to show the current ones. JOINING A PRIVATE LEADERBOARD IS MORE ROBUST Hardened how invitations to private leaderboards are granted and accepted, so a join can't be blocked or misdirected by anyone else. Also: fixed a diagnostics bug that made every launch look like it followed a crash.

Compete, don't just record. TWO WHEELS Motorcycles get their own worldwide leaderboard, ranked by top speed, distance, time at pace, acceleration and braking. Tell RoadBook you ride in Settings and your drives join it from your next trip. MONTHLY CHALLENGE A new target every month with a progress ring — and, when the challenge is a distance one, your standing among the real drivers chasing the same goal. TROPHIES Milestones, streaks and completed challenges are now won and kept, with the date you earned them. Worked out on your device from your own drives, and never published. PERSONAL BESTS Beat your 0-100 time and the save confirmation tells you so. STREAK REMINDER An optional nudge when a weekly streak is about to lapse. Also in this release: more accurate cornering measurement for two-wheelers, which lean into turns rather than staying level, and honest driver counts on every public board.

A rebuilt Record screen, the G-force graph back on every drive, a worldwide Leaderboard, and an Explore map that stays fast however much you drive. • The Record screen now fits on one screen — no scrolling. Speed, a live trace of the last few minutes, distance, time, average and top speed, altitude, climb, g-force and GPS accuracy are all visible at once, and the live map fills whatever room is left. • Driving Mode has its own labelled button beside Start Recording, so camera alerts, parking and live traffic are always one tap away. • At rest, the Record screen shows your last drive and the month so far instead of a grid of zeros — and it no longer says "No drives yet" while your drives are still loading. • The G-force graph appears on every drive again, in both the compact and full-size layouts. A drive with no motion readings now says so rather than quietly leaving the graph out. • The Friends tab is now Leaderboard, and the public board opens on a worldwide ranking instead of asking you to pick a country before it will show you anything. Tap Regions to browse any country, switch between six rankings, and see exactly where you stand — your position, the gap to the driver just ahead of you, and how far you have moved since you last looked. • Explore draws a shaded heat map of everywhere you've driven when zoomed out, and your actual routes when you zoom in, so it stays quick with thousands of drives. That heat map is now drawn at about three times the detail, so a city reads as the streets you actually take rather than a grid of blocks. Place names load far faster and survive leaving the tab mid-load. • Fixed: in some regions the weekly leaderboard figure could be measured over a different week than the one it was labelled with. • Fixed: some Driving Mode buttons could wrap their labels mid-word.
