You start with its planform — the shape it casts from straight overhead — and six guesses to name it. Planform is a daily puzzle for people who look up. There's no feed to scroll and no timer to beat. Just one aircraft, dropped at 0900 Zulu — the same clock pilots fly by — waiting to be called. HOW A ROUND WORKS • Read the silhouette and make your first guess. • Every guess is scored across five axes — manufacturer, engines, type, era, and role — so you see how close you are, not just whether you're right. • Each guess peels back another detail: engines, role, origin, era, a distinctive feature. • Six guesses to land it. Miss, and the type is revealed. Either way, you're back tomorrow. BUILT FOR THE AVGEEK Drawn in the language of aeronautical charts — paper, ink, and a sectional-green check when you're dead on.
