Use your flight’s actual route Long flights rarely follow the shortest path. On polar routes, such as the US West Coast to the Middle East, the difference can move prayer times by an hour or more. Add Route: on any flight, before or after saving it, tap Add Route, then paste the filed route from FlightAware or choose a screenshot of it. It’s usually available a few hours before departure. A map preview shows the route the app will follow, so you can check it before saving. Prayer times, Qibla direction and alerts are then calculated along the real route, all on your phone and offline. If the route changes on the day, use Replace to add the new one, or Remove to go back to the shortest path.

Prayer times that follow the sky you see • Fajr, sunrise, Maghrib and Isha now account for cruising altitude — from 36,000 ft the sun rises earlier and sets later than on the ground. You can switch this off in Prayer Settings. • Routes that cross the Arctic now show a note: airlines often fly well south of the shortest path, so times can differ by an hour or more. • Prayer settings now apply to all your flights and can be changed from the home screen or any flight — times, counts and alerts update instantly. • The in-app explainer has been updated with how real routes and altitude affect prayer times.

Qibla direction on board Each prayer during your flight now shows which way to face — relative to the front of the plane, the one direction you always know in a cabin. For example: “Qibla: 4 o’clock — behind you, to the right”. It’s on the prayer card and in the prayer alert, and works offline.

More accurate prayer times on long-haul flights • Prayer times now follow the great-circle route your plane actually flies — the curved path that takes many long-haul flights over the Arctic. • A recognised scholarly rule for high latitudes keeps every prayer time sensible near the poles, where the sun may not rise or set. • Every time a prayer begins during your flight is now shown — including a second sunset on very long journeys — accurate to within seconds. • On some westbound polar flights the plane outruns the sun and a prayer begins twice. The second is marked “again”, with an explanation. New • Enter your arrival time instead of the flight duration — whichever is on your booking. • “How are these times calculated?” — an explainer you can read offline, mid-flight. • Optionally show where the plane is when each prayer begins (Settings → Show Aircraft Position). Fixes • Time zone labels now match your travel date (e.g. PST after the November clock change). • Prayer Settings is easier to use; Include Sunrise works again.
