Version 4.0.7 • A thin line under the top bar shows how far you are through the surah. • Works better with screen readers and keyboards: the Juz list, quiz answers and other buttons now respond, and hidden bars are skipped. • The Qiraat list no longer shows up empty. • If signing in fails, the app now tells you why instead of showing a general error. • When you share a verse, the message includes a link to get Hafiz. • New in Settings → About: Discover Hafiz, a short tour of what the app can do.

Version 4.0.6 • Home screen widgets: a verse of the day, and quick buttons for Quran audio. • A clearer Now Playing screen: the whole page scrolls, so the list of verses is easy to reach. • The English translation shows the right translator, with Sahih International as the default. • Continue Reading shows each surah once, and your memorization bar shows even a little progress. • If the recitation check closes the app on an older iPhone, the app now switches to the phone's own speech recognition so it doesn't happen again. • New in Settings: choose whether to share anonymous usage and crash reports. They never include your name or your voice.

Version 4.0.5 A tidier Settings screen: • Settings are grouped into four sections — Appearance & reading, Reminders, Memorization Verifier, and Account & data — each with a short summary. Tap a section to open it. • The Friday reminder now follows the Sunnah: read Surah Al-Kahf on Friday.

Version 4.0.4 Closer care for the Quran and its sciences: • Honest recitation check — it checks the words you recite, not your tajweed, and reminds you that it doesn't replace a qualified teacher. • Warsh and Qalun — the recitation check no longer marks a correct recitation wrong; it supports Hafs only for now. • Translations name their translator, and tafsir excerpts end on a full sentence with a link to the whole tafsir. • Surah Az-Zalzalah is now marked Medinan, as in the Madina Mushaf. • Gentler wording for streaks and milestones, plus Arabic text fixes.

Version 4.0.3 Steadier and lighter: • Recitation check on older iPhones and iPads — devices from before 2018 now use the built-in speech recognition instead of closing the app. • Quran.com sign-in — an expired session now signs you out cleanly instead of failing over and over. • Steadier when storage is full — the app keeps working when your phone runs out of space. • Lighter and faster — maintenance runs once a day instead of every launch, reminders are kinder to the battery, Home opens quicker and word-by-word data takes less memory.

Version 4.0.2 Smoother and lighter: • Smoother Mushaf — page turns in the reader no longer stutter, even after months of reading. • No more “Initialization failed” — opening the app after pressing play on your headphones, lock screen or car now works. • Play picks up where you left off — the play button on headphones, the lock screen or your car continues your last surah from the last ayah. • Lighter on battery — sync rests while the app is in the background and catches up when you return. • Every reciter plays again — verse-by-verse audio for Abdul Basit (Murattal) and Abdurrahmaan As-Sudais no longer fails.

Version 4.0.1 Fixes from your feedback and our testing: • Verse-by-verse recitation no longer stops after an ayah or two, and starts faster. • Sign in with Apple works again. • Your sync code stays the same, and messages no longer repeat on every screen. • Continue Reading no longer mixes up the surah and the ayah. • Bookmarks you restore with Undo, or add back after deleting, stay saved. • Turning Smart reminders off now stops every reminder, including continue listening. • Updating the app no longer sends you through the welcome screens again. • Dark paper tone keeps Quick Settings and surah names readable. • The reader keeps your verse when you change view or font size. • Mushaf in landscape fills the width and scrolls; on iPad the Quran text is centred. • Edit saved playlists; your playback speed is remembered; the player works with VoiceOver. • Lighter on battery while listening. • Switching language applies everywhere at once, plus a stricter recitation check and many small fixes.

Thank you for all your feedback! We read every piece of feedback, and this update brings what you asked for, with more coming soon. • A fresh new design, with a warm reading page in light and dark paper tones. • Pick up where you left off: the app remembers the exact verse you were reading. • Keep your progress on all your devices by signing in with Apple or Google. Signing in is optional, and you can delete your account anytime. • Reminders that come at the time you usually read, and only when they're useful. • One player for listening to a full surah or verse by verse, with a sleep timer. • Mushaf pages now fill the screen, and you can pinch to make the text bigger. • Delete several bookmarks or history items at once. • Stability fixes and improvements.
