The dentist appointment you haven't decided about. The present you're buying them. The half-formed idea at 11pm. That stays on your list and nowhere else. ONLY WHAT YOU SHARE LANDS ON BOTH PHONES Just mention their name and you can share the things that concern both of you and they appear on their phone straight away. One household, one set of shared lists, and no more telling them the same thing twice. TELL THEM WITHOUT NAGGING THEM Say "tell Sarah the permission slip needs signing" and it arrives on Sarah's phone with your name on it. The thing gets done and you never bring it up again. IT'S STILL THERE IN SIX WEEKS The plumber's quote, the wifi code, the name of that restaurant. Search a text thread for any of it and see how long that takes.
