1.8.2 update - I have fixed an issue where bursts in your photo library could not be found. ■ Burst cleanup · I have fixed an issue where photos taken in Burst mode with the iPhone camera were not detected as bursts. Culpix now loads every photo in a burst and shows them together as one group. · If you choose to keep any photo from a burst, the burst's cover photo is kept as well. This is because deleting the cover photo deletes the entire burst. · For bursts in your Protected Albums, every photo in the burst is now protected. · Storage analysis now counts a burst's photos and size based on all of its photos. 1.8.0 update - I have added full support for iPhone Duo. ■ Full iPhone Duo support · I have reorganized the layouts of Culpix to fit the screen size and the fold, whether the iPhone is folded, unfolded, or half-folded and standing up. · When you stand the iPhone half-folded, Culpix splits the view along the fold, with the photo on top and the controls below. ■ Pro Culling · I have adjusted the layout on the large unfolded screen so photos use the space generously and no controls are cut off. · Pro Culling needs a wide screen, so on iPhone Duo you can use it with the screen unfolded. ■ RAW Noise Removal · On the unfolded screen in landscape, the photo and the controls now sit side by side so you can see the photo larger. · On iPad in landscape, the photo and the controls now sit side by side as well. · On iPhone and iPad as well, I have reduced the file list at the bottom to a single row so you can see the photo larger. ■ iPad · I have adjusted the number of columns in some photo lists. 1.7.5 update - I have given Culpix a fresh new icon and logo. ■ New icon and logo · I have redesigned the app icon. It comes in separate default, dark and tinted versions. · I have also updated the logo inside the app and the launch screen you see when you open the app to the new logo. ■ Terms of Service and Privacy Policy · You can now open the Terms of Service and Privacy Policy directly from Settings and the purchase screen. ■ Culpix Website · I have changed the "User Guide" button at the bottom of the home screen to "Culpix Website". 1.7.4 update - I have urgently fixed an issue that prevented the app from running on iOS 18. ■ Fix for the launch issue on iOS 18 · I have fixed an issue where the app quit immediately after opening on devices running iOS 18. The cause was that the app was built to always look for a new system component used by the RAW Noise Removal feature at launch, even though this component does not exist in iOS 18. · I apologize for the inconvenience to all of you using iOS 18.

1.7.3 update - I have refined Best photo recommendations and photo analysis so that you can rely on them more. ■ Consistent Best photo · I found and fixed an issue where the Best photo of the same group changed every time you reopened the app. The cause was values fluctuating while face quality was being measured. ■ Notice for photos that could not be analyzed · If some photos could not be read or ran into an error during analysis, the number of those photos is shown above the group list. Press "Rescan" to analyze only those photos again. · Until now these photos were left out without any notice, which could split a group in two or show "No Groups Found" as if there were no photos to sort. Now only the photos that could not be analyzed are skipped, and the photos before and after them stay together in one group. ■ Large text support in Pro Culling on iPad · I have fitted the width and layout of the side bar to your text size, so that the Pick, Hold and Reject labels and the toggle labels are no longer cut off even when you use a large text size. · I have moved the description of "Lock layout" to the (i) button next to it, and keyboard shortcut hints now appear only when a keyboard is connected. ■ Consistent naming in Chinese · For those of you using the app in Chinese, I have unified the name of Pro Culling, which differed from screen to screen, into a single name.

1.7.2 update - I have added safeguards so that the choices you worked hard on and the files you moved are not lost. ■ Resume culling · When you reopen the same folder in Pro Culling, your Pick, Hold and Reject marks from last time, along with stars, color and exposure adjustments, are brought back exactly as they were. Until now you had to start choosing from the beginning every time you reopened a folder. · If you would rather choose again from the beginning, just press "Start over" in the notice at the top. · Marks are not brought back for photos that were modified or removed from the folder in the meantime. ■ Move History · I have added "Move History" to Settings (on Mac, the File menu) so that you can undo moves made in Pro Culling later on as well. Until now you could undo only for a few seconds right after moving. Your last 50 moves are kept. · When undoing, if a file with the same name already exists in the original location, it is not overwritten; a number is added after the name instead. Files modified after being moved are not moved back. ■ Export failure notice · If moving or copying files fails, the window no longer closes; it shows how many failed and why. Until now the window closed without any notice even when something failed.

1.7.0 update - I have substantially reworked the screens you use to choose photos. ■ A new Clean Up All · It is now three steps: choose, confirm, clean up. You decide up front whether the photos other than the best are deleted, or moved or copied to the Photos app or the Files app. · Before it starts, the confirmation screen shows how many photos stay and how many are up for cleanup. Protected photos are always excluded. ■ Compare photos · I have added a screen that places a group's photos side by side, two at a time, so that a single tap on "Keep this one" narrows them down. The photo that survives to the end becomes that group's best. · When both deserve to stay, "Keep both" carries them forward together. ■ Pro Culling · I have added Pick, Hold and Reject buttons at the bottom right of the photo. One tap marks the photo and moves on to the next one, and a long press returns it to unmarked. You can now cull with your fingers alone on an iPad with no keyboard. · I have placed an Undo button at the top. Until now this was only possible with the Z shortcut. · If the buttons are in your way, you can hide them in Settings (on Mac, the View menu). ■ Exposure adjustment · In Pro Culling and RAW Noise Removal you can adjust exposure per photo by up to ±2 EV, so that you can brighten a dark frame before deciding on it. · The adjustment is written to the RAW's .xmp sidecar in Adobe Camera Raw format, so Lightroom reads it as it is. Your original files are never changed. It is saved only when "Write ratings to XMP" is turned on in Settings. ■ Mac · When the window is narrow, the secondary buttons in the bottom bar now fold into "More". This alleviates buttons being cut off. ■ Other · I have refined the text layout and the translations on a number of screens.

New on iPad: two-column home screen and drag and drop from the Files app • In landscape or a wide window, the home screen shows two columns: “Pick the best shots” on the left, Pro Culling and RAW Noise Removal on the right. • In portrait and Slide Over, the home screen keeps one column. • Drag a folder from the Files app onto “Pick the best shots” to group its photos, or onto Pro Culling to start culling it. • Drag RAW files from the Files app onto RAW Noise Removal to open them right away. Plus, opening a Culpix link, such as the one in our App Store event, takes you straight to RAW Noise Removal.

New: RAW noise reduction (requires iOS 27 or later) • Pick RAW files or a folder and remove noise right on your device.
