Photos, now part of your story Add up to 20 photos to a journal entry, share photos with your companion, and revisit them full-screen. Search and Ask can help you find them by what’s in them. Go deeper with Ask Explore your journal with Deep research, follow links back to the original entries, and save reports to revisit or refine with follow-up questions.

Your life, with clearer context. • Now available in Japanese, French, and Spanish, alongside English and Simplified Chinese. • Improved Ask retrieval, date-related questions, and source excerpts make exploring your past more useful. • Better relationship history preserves your corrections and handles ended relationships more carefully. The social map also opens at a more readable scale. • Import reviews keep your edits when you leave the app. Track progress in the notification center and continue imports after unlocking the limit that paused them. • Improved on-device AI responsiveness, clearer error messages, and fixes for startup stalls and clipped text.

Bring your journal with you — and a rebuilt map of your people. IMPORT FROM ANOTHER APP • Move your journal into Everglow from a file, a folder of notes, a CSV or JSON export, a batch of screenshots (read on-device with OCR), or simply paste the text in. • Nothing is written into your archive until you've seen it: fix dates, edit, merge, split, or leave entries out. • Entries keep their original dates. Anything without a readable date goes to the fuzzy-date queue rather than landing on today. • Large imports run in the background while you keep using the app, and pick up where they stopped if you close it. EXPORT • Take everything with you: one zip of plain Markdown files — readable in any editor, no lock-in — plus your conversations. Import reads it straight back. THE GRAPH, REBUILT (BETA) • Every connection explains itself: the sentence behind it, or where it came from. • Confirm a relationship, or mark two people as not related — that line stays gone. • Centre the map on anyone, and find the path between two people along the same relationships the map draws. • Groups: Everglow finds the circles in your writing and names them from what you wrote. Rename, merge, split, or remove one. • Relationships over time: a tie that ended shows when and why, stays on the map as a faded line, and can be restored. • Search the map by name, read it as a list, zoom out to see whole groups, or switch to Orbits to ring people by distance.

Everglow 1.2 is our biggest update yet. • Everglow Cloud (Beta) — Full AI with zero setup: no API key, nothing to configure. Subscribe or try it free, and journaling, chat, and search run on our hosted engine. Private by design: your entries are never stored on our servers, and Everglow never uses your words to train models. • Hey Siri, write in Everglow — Dictate an entry, ask your archive a question, or hear what you wrote recently, straight from Siri, Shortcuts, or the Action Button. • On This Day — What you wrote a year ago today quietly resurfaces at the top of your journal. • Find anything — Search your whole archive by keyword, star the entries you want to keep close, and browse by topic. Entries organize themselves automatically, and you can tag them yourself. • A companion that follows up — Your companion now remembers what's coming up and what's still unresolved ("how did the interview go?"), opens the conversation when you tap a check-in, and lets old threads rest once they're done. Plus: mood is sensed from your writing and easy to correct — and corrections now shape your monthly story. Rotating prompts when you're not sure where to start, a quick tour on first launch, complete Simplified Chinese, and dozens of fixes for smoother writing, searching, and syncing.
