What can you eat with gout? Check purine levels of foods
Get a daily purine total. Log flares and uric acid fast
Premium: see what you ate and drank 2 days before flares
Gout flares can feel like they come out of nowhere - and not knowing what set them off is exhausting. Gout Diet helps you finally see the patterns behind your own attacks.
This is a calm, private place to log what's happening in your body and make sense of it over time. Gout is a long-term condition, and the details matter: your uric acid numbers, your flares, the foods and drinks you have, and how consistently you take your medication. Keep all of it in one place, spot your own patterns, and turn months of data into a clear record you can hand to your doctor.
No account, no sign-up - your health entries stay on your device.
WHY PEOPLE KEEP IT ON THEIR HOME SCREEN
- See what tends to come before your flares. Log meals, drinks and purine-rich foods, then spot which ones keep showing up in the 48 hours before an attack.
- Watch your trend toward your target. Track uric acid in mg/dL or umol/L and see your readings on a clear chart with your personal target line.
- Stay on track with your plan. Set reminders for your urate-lowering medication, keep a simple intake log, and build a consistency streak.
- Never log an attack from memory again. Capture the joint, pain level (0-10), how long it lasted and what helped, right when it happens.
WHAT'S INSIDE
- Uric acid log with a trend chart and your personal target line
- Time-to-Target view: based on the trend in your own readings, see an estimate of where your numbers are heading relative to your target (an estimate from your data, not a prediction)
- Flare logger with an Emergency Mode: track pain hour by hour, follow an educational self-care checklist, and know the warning signs worth discussing with a clinician
- Purine food diary: a simple four-level purine guide across 123 foods organized by risk level, with a serving counter. Purines in mg per serving and a daily total for 72 of them, and you can add your own foods
- Hydration tracker with a daily goal and gentle, customizable reminders
- Medication reminders, an intake log and an adherence streak to keep your routine going
- Treatment Phases: an educational timeline of what many people experience during long-term urate-lowering therapy - and why flares can feel worse early on, so an unexpected flare doesn't catch you off guard
- Trigger patterns: a retrospective look at which foods or drinks appeared in your diary before past flares (a look back at your own history, not a cause)
- 17 short lessons drawn from public guidance (ACR, EULAR, Arthritis Foundation)
- Achievements and a mobility check-in to help you stay motivated
A CLEAR REPORT FOR YOUR DOCTOR
When it's time for an appointment, turn your history into a clean PDF - readings, flares, triggers and medication consistency over the last 30, 90 or 180 days. Print it or share it, so the conversation starts with real information instead of guesswork.
GOUT DIET PREMIUM
Gout Diet Premium is an optional subscription that unlocks the Time-to-Target forecast, your time below target, trigger insights, unlimited history and 90- and 180-day PDF reports. $29.99/year or $4.99/month. Core tracking, the Flare Emergency Mode and all reminders always stay free.
PRIVATE BY DESIGN
Your health story stays yours - your readings, flares and notes live on your device and are never uploaded. No account, no sign-up. To improve the app we use privacy-friendly, anonymous analytics (PostHog, hosted in the EU) to understand which features are used - for example that a reading was logged, never its value or any health details, and never for advertising.
Gout Diet is a tracking and education tool to help you stay organized and informed. It does not provide medical advice, diagnosis or treatment, and it is not a substitute for care from a qualified health professional. Always talk to your doctor about your health and your medication.
