Explore campus events in a refreshed feed and event detail view. A new international friendliness ring gives a quick reference for how easy an event may be to join. Save events for later, and open registration links or QR passes from the event page.

Featured events: the event Laowai Central is spotlighting now appears at the top of the events feed, marked with a Featured badge so it's easy to spot.

Events with a registration QR code now have a Laowai Central pass. Open the code from Join Event, follow a web registration link when available, or save the pass to Photos. Event pages also show full descriptions when provided, while event photos remain visible above the details. Swiping between main pages now follows the dock order, and account deletion is available in Profile settings.

The app now supports a comfortable dark appearance with clearer university logos and official LaowaiCentral posts. A Featured post can lead the Forum when there is an important update. Forum replies can notify you and open the related conversation. We also improved tab swiping and app reliability.

Forum discussions are easier to follow, with clearer university labels, official LaowaiCentral author badges, and voting on comments. Reply notifications now open the related conversation. We also polished the forum composer and campus selection during sign-up.

A faster, friendlier sign-up. Choose your campus, your school and the topics you care about, one question at a time — and see real events from your campus before you create an account. Skip what you'd rather not answer. Your year of study and your interests are now optional. See which university every event comes from, and filter the feed by SJTU, Fudan, Tsinghua or Peking University. Your feed now opens on your own university. Notifications now come from your own school, not from every campus. Peking University students can now sign up with their school or program. Not at a university we list yet? You can still join and see events from every campus.
