New in this version: Recording language: Echo now records in English (US and UK), French, German, Japanese, Korean, Brazilian Portuguese, and Spanish (Mexico and Spain). Pick the language in Settings, and Echo writes the title, summary, and tags in the language you spoke. A language is offered only when your iPhone can recognize it on the device, so the audio never leaves your phone. The menus stay in English. Face ID lock: turn on Require Face ID in Settings and Echo locks when you open it and after you have been away for a minute. The app switcher shows a cover instead of your notes, and you can still record a new note while the journal is locked. Streaks, a daily reminder, and On This Day: the Library shows how many days in a row you have recorded, an optional reminder at a time you choose opens the recorder, and On This Day brings back notes from a month ago and, later, from a year ago. New note from the Home Screen: long-press the Echo icon and choose New note to start recording in one step. You can now rate Echo from Settings. A rating helps other people find the app.

New in this version: Ask your notes — put a question to everything you have recorded and Echo answers from your own notes, with links back to the ones it drew from. Included with Echo Pro. Journaling prompts — when you are not sure where to start, the Library offers a prompt. Tap one and the recorder opens ready to capture your answer. AI follow-ups — after Echo writes up a note, it can suggest a follow-up question and thread your reply onto the same note, so one thought can grow into a short reflection. Included with Echo Pro. Your screen now stays awake while you record, so a longer note keeps going instead of stopping when the display dims.
