New: every port and beach page now shows where the place is, and where you are. • A map under every tab, framed to show both you and the place. • The "Get directions" button opens the route in Maps. • On iPad and Mac, the sidebar starts collapsed so the page uses the full width.

More beaches, everywhere: nearly 50,000 beaches from all over the world arrive in Tidova. • Each beach opens just like a port, with its forecast and practical info when known: sand or pebbles, lifeguards, access, dogs allowed or not. • Its tide comes from the nearest port, and the app shows that port's name and distance. When no port is close enough, Tidova says so instead of making up tide times. • Lake and river beaches are here too, without tides or sea conditions, since they have none. • Search by town: type the name of a town, then see the beaches around it. • A new "Sources and licences" screen shows where the data comes from: beaches and towns come from OpenStreetMap and its contributors. Also: • In "My places", swipe a place to delete it, or press and hold to move it. • Search shows places "Around me" straight away when location access is already allowed. • A + button next to "My places" to add a place. • Country names are now written out in full. • More accurate charts: every reading now falls at the right time. • The Moon is shown as a photo, with its real phase. • VoiceOver announces the time of each tide in the forecast.

Tidova now tells you where tide times come from: when they are computed from a nearby reference port, a banner at the bottom of the Tide tab says so, with their accuracy and the source of the corrections. More beaches suggested around each place, including on the Mediterranean.

Tidova has been completely rewritten in Swift, Apple's native language, to get ready for the arrival of iPhone Duo. Your places, settings, widgets and Apple Watch all carry over. Along the way, the app feels smoother and fits better into iOS. Thanks for being part of the journey!
