On iPhone, invite links now open the app directly, so you and whoever invited you are connected right away.

Your capsule now opens at the exact time you picked, even when you’re abroad, and one for someone else opens at their local time. In Settings you can also choose which emails you get. Capsules for yourself no longer need a confirmed email: you only need it to send them to other people. And the app has a new logo.

You can now send a capsule link in one tap, on WhatsApp, Telegram, Messages or by email, and pick the language of the message for each person. We also send fewer notifications: the reminder one week before is off, and you can turn it back on in Settings. If you just installed the app, your first capsule can be for someone else too: all you need is their name. And in Settings you can turn off the alert when someone replies to one of your capsules.

From this version, one capsule can go to up to five people at once, even someone without an email address: create a link with their name, send it in a message, and on the day you chose they watch the video in their browser. In the “From you” tab you see every recipient, how it reaches them and who has already opened it. On a slow connection the app now tells you how sending is going, and keeps the screen on until it’s done. A replay only counts once the video actually starts. And when you open a capsule, you see the preview right away while the video loads. New icons, and you can invite anyone with your link from the Contacts page. Whoever signs up from your link shows up in your contacts on their own.

From this version, you can reply to a capsule. When you open a capsule someone sent you, you can reply with a text message of up to 200 characters. The person who sent it gets notified and finds your reply under the capsule, in the “From you” tab. Nobody else sees it. If the capsule went to a group, everyone replies on their own, and you read all the replies in one place. Once sent, a reply can be deleted but not edited. And if you get a reply you’d rather not see, you can hide it or report it. And we’ve rewritten some of the app’s text to make it clearer. Some sentences could be read the wrong way: now they say what actually happens.

This version is about one thing: your capsule reaching anyone, even people who don’t have Lumideo. On the day it opens, the person you sent it to gets an email and watches the video in their browser. Nothing to install. It could be your grandmother, or a friend who’s never heard of Lumideo: the email is all they need. You can also create a capsule from your browser, at lumideo.app. Say from your computer, with the webcam, when you want to take your time. Your account email now shows in Settings. So you always know where we’ll write to you. And we’ve strengthened the protection around your videos. You won’t see it, but it matters.

This version is about one thing: a capsule's video should not stay locked inside the app. You can now download and share it. It stays on your phone, with the day you recorded it and the day it opened, so in ten years that file still says where it came from. With Premium it comes out without our logo. If you leave a capsule halfway, you'll find it next time. We ask whether to carry on or start over, instead of throwing away what you recorded: before, it was simply lost. We fixed the screens that stayed stuck after an alert, and the notice that announced new capsules after reinstalling the app even when you had already watched them. Neither should have happened. And if you asked your phone to reduce motion, the app now notices. Groups go up to 30 people for everyone.

This version is about one thing: what you record stays where you put it. We fixed a problem that could make a video disappear while it was uploading. It should never have happened, and we're sorry if it happened to you. Now, if the network misbehaves, Lumideo quietly tries again before giving up. Lumideo was also taking up more space on your phone than it needed to, holding on to copies of videos nobody needed any more. Now it cleans up after itself. We fixed the player, which could freeze when you went back after opening a capsule. And the email verification notice no longer shows up at launch before we've actually checked.

You'd send a capsule, and then, silence. Now you know when the person who received it opened it. And on every capsule you'll find the exact day it unsealed. Also: search for a word in the message or in your own notes, the app answers your touch better, and the freeze that could happen after a video is fixed.

A capsule doesn't end when you open it. Now you'll find the message from whoever sent it, right there with the video. And you can add a note of your own: what it made you think, where you were when you watched it. Also: search your contacts when you send a capsule, clearer notifications, and various fixes.

When you create a capsule for someone who isn't on Lumideo yet, the app now helps you make sure it actually reaches them — by suggesting you send a quick direct message too. Because an email from a stranger gets ignored. A message from you doesn't. A few fixes for large text sizes, and some polish throughout.

very capsule holds a real moment. Now the numbers in your stats hold them accurately too — we fixed a mismatch that was showing different counts between your profile and your statistics. Everything lines up now. And something new: if you've received a promo code, you can redeem it directly in the app to unlock premium access. A way to receive — or give — the gift of Lumideo.

There's something special about sealing a moment. This update was built to stay out of the way — everything flows better, everything responds faster. And the Stats page has become something we're genuinely proud of: open it, and it tells a story.

Some moments deserve to arrive at exactly the right time. You can now choose the precise hour your capsule unlocks — not just morning or evening, but the exact minute you have in mind. A birthday at 8am when they first wake up. An anniversary at the moment it happened, years ago. Zoom in while recording to capture the details that matter most. And your capsules have never looked this beautiful.

Sealing and opening a capsule has always felt meaningful. Now it sounds and feels like it too. We've added sounds and haptic feedback that bring every moment to life — the click of sealing, the quiet awakening of a capsule after months of waiting. Small details that make everything feel more real, more yours. Onboarding is clearer and more personal from the very first screen. And your capsule collection now shows everything you need at a glance. Lumideo keeps getting better at holding the things that matter most.

Every update is our way of taking better care of you. This version makes the app smoother, more beautiful, and more accessible to everyone. Moving through your memories feels even more natural — because emotions deserve an experience that matches them.

Lumideo now speaks French and Portuguese — bonjour & olá! We've redesigned the profile and settings pages to make everything cleaner and easier to find. Group owners now get a notification the moment someone accepts their invite — because that moment deserves to be celebrated! And we've fixed a keyboard issue that was hiding what you were typing. Small fix, big relief.

A new chapter of Lumideo begins. You can now invite people into your world more easily with personal invite links and your own QR code, so the people you care about can join you in just a moment. We’ve also introduced Groups, so you can create your own circles and send one memory to more people at the same time. Friends, family, shared moments — all kept together. This update is about making Lumideo feel more connected, more personal, and closer to the people who matter most.

This update makes Lumideo feel more personal and intuitive. You can now add a mood tag when creating a capsule, send capsules in Surprise Mode, enjoy a smoother creation flow, a more polished profile, and better audio playback even when your phone is in silent mode.

This update makes Lumideo feel smoother, more reliable, and more personal. We’ve improved the way capsules are recorded and watched, made profiles more expressive, and polished many small details so everything feels more natural. We’ve also given more freedom during the free trial, improved accessibility in the player, and made the app more stable in important moments across the experience. Thank you for trusting Lumideo with your memories.

The people who matter most are now one tap away. Find who's part of your journey, add them to favourites, and send them a capsule without hunting for their name. You can also reply to a capsule you've received — because sometimes the right moment is right now. Shareable images look better than ever, and every screen feels a little more polished.
