The permission screen's button now reads Continue instead of Allow — the system asks for the microphone, not us. Added a link to LED Banner · Baro, for showing a message on stage.

The screen that explains why the tuner needs the microphone now says "Continue" instead of "Allow". That sounds small, and it is not: iOS asks for the permission itself, in its own dialog, and that is where the decision belongs. A button of ours that said "Allow" made it look like the choice had already been made — so people stopped reading the one screen that actually matters. Nothing about what the app does with the microphone has changed. Audio is analysed on your device and never recorded, never uploaded.

Your feedback, shipped. • Pick your instrument first — Guitar, Violin, Bass, Ukulele. Drop D and Half step down moved under Guitar, where they belong. • The whole readout turns yellow the moment you're in tune, so you can see it from the music stand. • Finer measurement: a wider analysis window with overlapping reads, steadier smoothing when you hover, and a needle scale expanded around the target — a 5-cent error now swings 2.5x further.

In instrument presets, the readout now measures against the selected string's target note. Previously a string tuned far from its target — like a half-step-down tuning — could be called in tune against the nearest other note. The confirmation haptic follows the same target. If anything looks off, tell us from the "Built with you" card — we read every message.

Arabic is now supported, with full right-to-left layout. This one came from a user request — thank you. If something in your language looks wrong, tell us from the "Built with you" card and we read every message.

Instrument presets. Chromatic, Guitar, Drop D, Half step down, Bass, Ukulele and Violin. Pick your instrument and the tuner names the string instead of just the note — "String 6 · E2 · Tighten" tells you which peg to turn and which way. Play something far outside the preset and it quietly falls back to plain chromatic reading instead of guessing. Opens straight to the tuner. The landing screen is gone: tap the icon and the needle is already live, no taps in between. On the very first run one card explains that your audio stays on this phone, shown before the microphone is ever asked for. A steadier needle. Uncertain frames and false octave jumps are now discarded, and cents are smoothed within a note, so a low E string stops jumping around while you turn the peg. Feel it lock in. One short haptic tap the moment you land in tune, and the gauge holds its lock — you can keep your eyes on the instrument instead of the screen. Real microphone control. Stop now releases the microphone and keeps it off; switching to another app no longer turns it back on, and the screen says "Microphone off" instead of pretending to listen. Fixed: tuning in the first second after launch could use 440 Hz instead of the reference pitch you saved. No subscription. No ads. No tracking. Still works in airplane mode.
