MyDoseLog
Track meals & insulin doses
Free · In‑App Purchases · Designed for iPad. Not verified for macOS.
MyDoseLog is a personal memory aid for Type 1 diabetes families.
When your child eats a particular meal and you calculate the dose and enter it into the insulin pump, log the same numbers in MyDoseLog: meal name, weight, blood sugar, carbs, and insulin units. Next time the family eats the same meal, open Search and see the actual dose you gave before, along with all the related information.
Features:
- Up to 4 patient profiles
- Per-patient carb ratio for automatic dose calculation
- Log meal with photo, weight, sugar, carbs, insulin
- Multiple correction doses per meal
- Day Doses" screen to see all meals and doses for a single day
- Edit and Repeat any past meal
- Instant search by any letter of the meal name
- Share meals between family devices via AirDrop
- Arabic and English UI with Gregorian and Hijri calendar
- All data stays on your device, no internet, no ads, no tracking
Important medical notice: MyDoseLog is not a medical device and does not provide medical advice. All insulin dosing decisions must be made with your diabetes specialist.

Important fixes:
• Fixed a freeze affecting some screens, and the glucose reading now appears as soon as the correction dose or correction meal screen opens.
• Fixed a silent issue in family sharing that could prevent the first correction dose logged on a new meal from reaching other family members.
• Improvements to sharing, the smart suggestion, and backups.
1.8.2 Aug 19
Family sharing improvements:
• Fixed a rare case that could stop syncing between family members when accepting a share invitation for a patient card already stored on the same device. Affected devices restore themselves automatically after updating, with no action required.
• Backups now include your accumulated sensor reading history, so analytics are preserved when moving data to a new device.
1.8.0 Aug 14
Faster, lighter, and a root fix for unexpected quits
• Fixed unexpected app quits: resolved a cause of very high memory use while sharing the food library, which could freeze the screen and close the app on its own. Large food library photos are now resized once, automatically, without losing clarity.
• A root fix for slowness: the meal browsing screen was rebuilt. It used to load every meal and photo at once; now it shows only what is on screen. The difference is dramatic with hundreds of meals.
• Reach any meal in one tap: a smooth list with thumbnails, tap a meal to open it in full, instead of moving through them one by one.
• Broad performance work: analytics, the day log, the food library and patient photos are all lighter and faster, and typing notes is smoother.
• General stability fixes.
1.7.9 Aug 7
All-new Analytics: Insight Cards!
• The Analytics screen has been redesigned: twelve smart cards computed from your sensor readings and meals — time in range, average glucose, mini graph, percent in range, quartiles (a variability measure), normal range percentages (below/within/above), doses, GMI (estimated HbA1c), carbs, stability (CV), sensor coverage, and low episodes.
• Every card has its own time range: tap any card to read its explanation and pick a range from a wheel (from 3 hours up to 90 days, including "since wake up") — updates apply instantly with a confirmation of what changed. Your choices are saved per patient.
• Tap the sensor or pump countdown on the patient screen to open its settings directly — resetting the counter is now one tap away.
• Meal notes are protected while typing: words you type will no longer disappear when a family sync arrives mid-sentence.
• Faster performance: closing the reminders screen is now instant, and family sync is lighter.
• General improvements and fixes.
1.7.8 Jul 12
New sounds & alarms!
• Custom alert sounds: from the bell screen, pick a distinct sound for each reminder (post-meal glucose check, active insulin expiry, sensor change, pump change) — six tones with an instant preview when you pick one.
• In-app glucose alarms: four adjustable thresholds in your unit (severe low, low, high, severe high), each with its own sound and repeat interval. When a threshold is crossed, a colored banner appears over any screen and the sound plays even in silent mode, repeating until the reading returns to range or you tap "Got it ".
• Night monitoring mode : the moon button on the sensor card in Analytics keeps the screen on at a dim brightness — leave the phone at your side overnight with alarms active.
• Time-sensitive alerts (optional): break through Focus modes so an important reminder is never missed.
Note: glucose alarms work only while the app is open — they are a supplementary aid, not a replacement for your official sensor app's alarms.
• General improvements and fixes.
1.7.6 Jul 9
Notes fields now rise automatically above the keyboard — so you always see what you're typing, on every screen. Doctor's Report improvements: correct display of mmol/L glucose values in the daily events table, and the follow-up disclaimer now appears on every report page. Plus minor user-guide refinements.
1.7.5 Jul 6
All-new Doctor's Report: a clinic-style PDF for a period you choose (week, 2 weeks, month, or 3 months) — period summary, best day, a dedicated page per day with its statistics, chart, and events, plus meal and dose tables. For accuracy, averages are never shown from incomplete readings.
In Analytics: browse your stored history day by day with two arrows, and touch the chart to see the value, time, and date, with a time-in-range bar for each day. Plus further stability improvements.
1.7.4 Jul 5
Major improvements to family-sharing reliability: edits from multiple devices now merge precisely without conflicts. Faster performance and improved stability in analytics and readings history, plus wide-ranging fixes and refinements across all languages.
1.7.3 Jul 4
New: When you share a patient, the accumulated glucose history travels with the share — so whoever you share with (like your doctor or family) instantly sees the week / 2-week / month / 3-month glucose cards, without needing your sensor credentials.
• A show/hide (eye) button for the password and token fields when linking a sensor, so you can verify what you type.
• Various improvements and fixes.
Readings are an aid only; always consult your doctor.
1.7.2 Jul 2
New: Log a "physical activity" after your meal with one tap (with a live countdown), so the smart tip knows that any low during your activity came from exercise, not food.
• More accurate suggestions when sugar rises, learning from the timing of your past corrections for the same meal.
• Simpler: the "fatty meal" switch is gone — the app now infers it automatically.
• Various improvements and fixes.
All suggestions are an aid only; always consult your doctor.
1.7.1 Jun 27
New: Connect your own continuous glucose monitor (CGM) to auto-fill blood sugar across the app.
• Live glucose reading with a chart and a time-in-range indicator.
• You enter your own account details; they are stored on your device only — never collected or shared.
• Landscape chart view, plus keyboard and notes-field improvements.
Sensor readings are an aid, not a replacement for fingerstick testing. Always consult your doctor.
1.7.0 Jun 25

• Various improvements and fixes

1.1.0 Jun 9
Version 1.0.1 - Medical Safety Improvements:
1) New Info Button (i):
A small blue circular button next to critical fields:
- Carb Ratio
- Insulin Dose
- Correction Dose
Tapping it opens a quick reminder of key medical points, with an "Open Medical Disclaimer" option that takes you straight to the relevant detailed section.
2) Medical Disclaimer fully updated:
Three new detailed sections written specifically for diabetes patients and their families:
- Carb Ratio: who sets it and when it changes
- Insulin Dose: the difference between mathematical calculation and medical decision
- Correction Dose: risks of insulin stacking and safety precautions
3) Meal weight and blood sugar are now optional:
The app no longer requires them. You can save a meal without them and add them later.
4) Improved auto-calculation logic:
The insulin auto-calculation now runs only when all three are present:
- Patient's carb ratio
- Meal weight
- Carb value
If you delete weight or carbs after the calculation, the insulin dose clears immediately to avoid confusion.
5) Correction dose deletion confirmation:
A confirmation alert now appears when deleting any correction dose, showing the unit value to prevent accidental deletion.
6) Various bug fixes and visual improvements.
